Customer Review Summary

Praise centers on the salt and pepper chicken pieces and on the kitchen adjusting dishes to taste. One regular says every order is changed to their liking without a problem and arrives piping hot, freshly cooked and fast. Another calls the beef in the beef and tomato good, and a third finds everything perfectly edible though not outstanding. Opinion is split, and several reviewers say standards have slipped. Orders arrived wrong, with nuggets and chips instead of salt and pepper wings and chips, and veggie spring rolls instead of meat. Others describe plain chips, bland spring rolls, grey noodles, cold food with raw batter on the chicken, and two Singapore dishes with no spice. The beef and tomato was also called very sweet. Reviewers call prices high, with soft noodles costing more than elsewhere, and one describes the shop as dirty and run down. One reviewer who rang to complain got no apology, only a promise to tell the chef.

“I ordered food and from me ringing to having it in my house it was 11 minutes the food is warmed up there about 10 chips the noodles are a grey colour and smell like feet the rice is like little bullets the batter on the chicken is still raw it’s also flat cold never ever ever will I use these again the shop is dirty and run down also is very very expensive for the poor quality of food”

“Ordered the beef and tomato with fried rice. It was ok. VERY SWEET. I had to add A LOT of salt and soya sauce. If I was told they accidentally added sugar rather than salt to season I would totally believe it! The beef was good though. However, other than that, just ok. Most likely won't order from here again. There are much better local Chinese's around.”

“Regularly have takeaways from here and have never been disappointed. It's by no means outstanding but they will adjust dishes to your taste if you ask and everything we have ever had has been perfectly edible and tasty.”

“l came here after ages it used to be amazing the food was to die for and i used to enjoy coming here regularly. However I came today ordered a box with salt and pepper chips egg fried rice and curry sauce and a portion of mini vegetable spring rolls it was horrible had a funny taste to it the chips wasn’t even salt and pepper chips they was just chips the spring rolls had no taste and it tasted bland and just very fried. Also the customer service is terrible i advise everyone not to order from here.I would never waste my money here ever again!!!”

“Used to be the best place around here the prices have hiked up above stupidity and the quality of the food has gotten worse I use a couple of chienese and 4.50 for soft noodles when others charge 2.80 -3.20 I expect best quality for them prices but no just average and if you want extra onions in the. You can expect to pay 5quid or so. id rather travel to headingley and get a way better chienese and save money even after using fuel to go there and back I still save quite a bit won't be coming here again and we used to order all the time and spend 40-50 quid before the owners got greedy and decided to hike the prices and lower the quality of food to save money”
