Customer Review Summary
Green curry is the dish diners raise most, in chicken, prawn and beef versions, praised for its depth of flavour and for heat levels running from mild to hot. One reviewer had a very spicy chicken curry while their companion preferred the mild beef version. Close behind are the Pad Thai, described as sweet, tangy and not overly greasy, and starters of prawn tempura, calamari and spring rolls. One reviewer says the dim sum must be tried, and another enjoyed a tiger prawn stir fry with egg fried rice. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and attentive, and several describe a small, intimate, welcoming room with a no rush pace. One reviewer calls it suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The caveats are small: one reviewer finds the food excellent though not the cheapest, and another says the front door can be hard to find. One diner recalls the host coming over while they played cards and reading them the way it is done in Thailand.

“Food is excellent though not the cheapest. The staff and service is perfect. I liked the no rush atmosphere of the staff. You can take your time before ordering. I don't drink alcohol so the waiter thought I was joking when I asked for water. The dim sum must be tried. It's delicious.”

“Today me and my friend visited tiien in southbourne having been meaning to come for a while, we had an excellent time, the service was impeccable and our server frank was attentive and friendly. we had the chicken green curry at a medium spice level but their where options from mild to hot, which i think is a nice touch to make the menus accessible for all and it was exploding with flavour, the chicken phad thai was also scrumptious. definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.”

“We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Tiien Thai last week. My husband loves Thai green curry and we were curious to try their own even though the weather was on hot red alert 😀 We ordered one very spicy green chicken curry, which he very much enjoyed and I loved their own mild version of the beef green curry which was really tasty and convenient for my taste buds. The curry portions were large enough for one person and one rice bowl was enough for the two of us. We also had tasty prawn tempura for starter and added a beer and a large glass of wine. No space for dessert 😁 all for around £60. The lovely lady serving us was very polite, chatty and attentive. She was surprised to learn a Caucasian love very spicy Thai dishes 😀 The small restaurant was quiet even though it's situated on a busy traffic road. The toilets are clean and accessible. Thank you for a lovely meal. We would visit again when back in the area.”
