Customer Review Summary

Complaints are real, though. One diner with a disabled father found the ramp not level, with a substantial lip, then waited ten minutes without a waitress returning and had to order at the counter. The milkshake arrived almost warm. Another reported a very cold cottage pie with almost raw vegetables and sausages cut open. One parent reports a small piece of metal in a toddler's scrambled eggs. Others call the prices slightly expensive and mention staff bickering loudly.

“I just wanted to commend the team in the café and Cat in particular. I spent a few hours there this past Sunday and enjoyed lovely food in a friendly atmosphere, with great service. But what stood out for me and was exceptional was how they went above and beyond to help me as I realised shortly after leaving the cafe that my car keys were lost and so was I without them. My phone had no charge and I had no charger as well. After searching the beach and finding nothing Cat and the team swung into action to help. Calls went out to find me a charger, to check other businesses for lost keys handed in. Phones were offered to help me resolve the situation. Even CCTV was checked in the hunt for my lost keys. The most important thing at this time was actually having someone to help you think things through and offer support which is exactly what Cat did. What a star! Going the extra mile for a customer doesn't even begin to describe it. With no prospect of me driving my car the 60 miles home that night or even being able to get into my house as my house keys were missing too Cat arrived with an excited announcement. She had checked the local Facebook group and keys were found. A few minutes later I was reunited with my keys and able to go home, panic was over, lessons learned but my faith in good people, doing things was refreshed. Thanks Cat! Such a warm, resourceful and helpful person. Thanks to all at the Pagham Beach Café.”

“Had brunch here every day for 2 weeks. Food superb except for lack of alternatives to the cooked breakfast . I followed up with a banana split every day. Highly recommended.”

“We visited here with my disabled father in his mobility scooter, although there is a ramp to get in one of the doors, its not level and there's quite a substantial "lip" to get over. We chose a table and before we were even sat down the waitress was asking for our order. I asked her to wait while we at least got sat down, this resulted in no more service from her. There were no menus on the table so I had to go and borrow one from another table, the condiment tray was full of vinegar so I had to swap that with another table. After 10mins the waitress hadn't returned so I had to go to the counter to order. It was extremely hot in there and we ordered cold milkshake which came almost warm and for £3 was just a glass of milk with a splash of milkshake syrup in. The food we had was reasonable, but again I had to go to the counter to ask for them to clear our plates, order extra drinks and also order the Desserts as no waitresses came near our table despite them taking orders from others around us and us trying to call them over. All in all wasnt bad food for a beach cafe but the service was horrendous. Although with that said the young girl that bought our food over was very polite.”

“Lovely café with a nice interior and very friendly staff. The food was beautifully presented and overall we enjoyed our visit. Unfortunately, we fount my a small piece of metal in my toddlera scrambled eggs, which appeared to have come from the grill or a spatula. Hopefully this was a one-off issue, as everything else was very good.”
