About Boston Tea Party
Boston Tea Party is a breakfast, brunch and coffee cafe at 2 Baffins Lane in Chichester, where takeaway coffee has come only in reusable cups since 2018, so customers bring, buy or borrow a cup. The kitchen cooks dishes to order and uses only free range meat. Breakfast options include the BOSS Boston Muffin, a shakshuka breakfast bowl and homemade hash browns. Burgers, wraps and salads sit alongside vegetarian and vegan choices. Customers order at the counter or by scanning a code. The cafe is walk-in only, so no booking is needed to take a table. Customer Review Summary
Coffee is also the sharpest complaint. One reviewer found the espresso and flat white badly over-extracted and bitter, and another called it not a great coffee. Portions drew criticism too, with a breakfast described as one sausage, two small bits of bacon and half a mushroom. One lunch diner found the corn on a Smoked Salmon Hash significantly burnt, and staff called it a "charcoal" effect. Even so, a reviewer with a small issue said staff dealt with it immediately.

“I've been here many times over the years. With different friends and my partner for various occasions, sometimes with children. Food is always delicious. Staff are always friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble!”

“Love this place and we will be back for sure. We went on Saturday around brunch time and there were many tables free. Service was so fast, food-drinks delicious, my toddler devoured her pancakes, so many toys for kids and a changing table in the wheelchair access bathroom. Perfect for families, visible by so many being there.”

“Had breakfast at Boston Tea Party and the team were brilliant - friendly, attentive, and handled our group without missing a beat. Food came out promptly and was genuinely delicious. The space itself is lovely too: clean, comfortable and a really nice atmosphere. It's a trendy little spot with a great vibe for hanging out. Looking forward to returning - highly recommend!”

“Boston Tea Party are always mine and my partner’s go-to for breakfast/brunch or lunch! Their menu is a fantastic mix of classic breakfast brunch and lunch options taking inspiration from the culinary delights of different countries around the world. If you fancy a British classic, the BOSS Boston Muffin is a top choice! Want something with a Latin American feel? Grab the Mexican eggs, the flavour is incredibly balanced with perfect level of spice! We’re big fans of the shakshuka breakfast bowl too - a brilliant middle-eastern inspired option. They’ve also got lunch well and truly covered with burgers, wraps, salads and some niche choices all with vegetarian and vegan options for those that prefer a meatless feast. The staff here are incredible, welcoming, kind and attentive without being overbearing and will always have a recommendation if you’re not sure what to get. We usually visit the Chichester Boston Tea Party but, every single BTP we’ve been to has had a consistently great service and vibe. The chefs deserve the highest praise, cooking everything fresh to order and, on our last visit Kia blew us away with her kindness and great service. If I could give Boston Tea Party 10 stars I would!”

“Your local breakfast, brunch and coffee place in the heart of Chichester. Find us just down the road from Chichester Cathedral (in the heart of the main shopping district) in a beautifully bright and airy building that's brimming with natural light. Our space is your space. Come on down, grab a table, do your thing (we’re walk-in only, no need to book). There's something on the menu for everyone, including a kids menu and lots of veggie and vegan options. We're all about simple, made-made-to-order dishes that are sustainably sourced, we only use free range meat. Since 2018, we've been proudly reusable only when it comes to takeaway coffee cups. Choose to reuse - simply bring, buy or borrow a cup.”
