About Red Lion Beefeater
Red Lion Beefeater is a British steak house and pub on Devonshire Road in Blackpool, with the grill menu running alongside a full English breakfast service. Steaks include rump and a mixed grill, and the kitchen turns out a gammon steak served with pineapple, peas, chips, and a fried egg. The room seats large family parties, with a recent group of eleven seated together alongside younger children. A braille menu is available, and the pub setting keeps drinks and meals under one roof on the same Devonshire Road site.

“We eat here regularly and we've never been disappointed. Had an excellent rump steak, and we'll be going again before it closes which is a great pity.”

“It's about what you would expect from a Beefeater. The service was friendly and engaging, but the food itself was average - nothing special, and in many cases overpriced. We were a party of 11, so I won't go through everyone's orders, but in my case I had the gammon steak, with pineapple, peas, chips, and a fried egg. The egg was actually decent, and the pineapple had a balanced level of sweetness to it. The gammon was thick and had grill marks on it, although whether or not it had actually seen a grill is a debate yet to be had - the fat was not rendered, at any rate, and there was a considerable amount of it. The peas were cooked perfectly, with a nice pop and no mushiness to them. Some members of my party also got dessert, although I didn't. These, suffice to say, went down a treat.”

“Popped inas we were passing and thought it would ne nice to go as we heard they were closing and wanted a last Beefeater visit. Sadly my roast dinner was bland and undercooked. It was like a cheap ready meal. Not great for nearly £17. The staff however were very nice and I felt sorry for them. However it was a disappointment for my last ever visit.”

“The meal I was served can only be described as an absolute disgrace. Undercooked & three of the worse cuts of meat I’ve ever seen. Topped off with bland service. Wont be back!!!”
