About Dirty Martini - Cocktail Bar in Birmingham

Dirty Martini is a cocktail bar in Birmingham, on Bennetts Hill, that pairs a bottomless brunch with a dance floor and DJs playing late into the evening. The same room covers daytime and night, with tables set beside the dance floor and music playing throughout. The menu lists 38 items, with the Dirty Martini among the cocktails, and champagne and non-alcoholic drinks sit alongside them. Customer Review Summary

Table service draws the most praise, with diners crediting waiters and a bartender for being friendly, attentive and quick with drinks and food. Brunch is the occasion reviewers describe most, including a Mother's Day brunch and a birdcage likened to a savoury afternoon tea, alongside tasty cocktails and a menu that catered to dietary restrictions. Birthdays and a Christmas party also feature, with praise for the music and ambiance and for a bartender who made a champagne birthday memorable. The complaints centre on seating and organisation. One table was squashed against a pillar beside the dance floor, which made it uncomfortably loud, and a group of ten hoped for a better seating area. One reviewer with a First Table booking found no one at the desk, was asked by four staff whether they had checked in, saw no food menus on the table, and says bill terms were never communicated. Another waited a long time for a drinks order and received food for two of three guests, yet a server then turned the visit around.

“Rocky start - our table was very squashed up against a pillar next to the dance floor. This made it uncomfortablely loud & lets just say it's a good job we're good friends. Noone took our drinks order for a long time, despite us being on limted time. We had to call someone over twice. They only bought food out for 2, despite there being 3 of us. However, once Sienna took over with us the experience got a whole lot better & she really turned it around; observational service, the personal touch, she really made a difference & it ended much better than it started. Also, warning- if youre an average height woman, the icon "wings" photo is going to need some assistance else your wings are coming out your head!”

“Dont go here for food. Staff didn't know what to do with First Table booking, there was no-one to greet us at the desk, then when we went to bar to check in, was asked by x4 individuals had we checked in, which we couldn't as noone was there! No food menu's on the table either. The food was ok, lovely presentation. We had a super small table which wasnt comfortable- I absolutely wouldn't recommend or go back for food. When it came to the bill, its seems there were other terms and conditions which were applicable but had not been communicated, either on FT, the menu or on arrival by the staff. Stick to what you are good at - drinks.”
