About Giggling Squid - Billericay
Giggling Squid is a Thai restaurant at 120 High St in Billericay, built around dishes meant for sharing. The lunch Thai Tapas Sets follow that idea, and a sharing platter is also offered as a starter, alongside chicken satay. Among the curries, the prawn Penang sits next to beef red curry and Massaman on the main menu. The drinks list covers cocktails, beers and mocktails. Botanical decor runs through the dining room, and the waitresses dress in Thai style. The menu includes pictures of the dishes, and the team will talk guests through the options.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the Thai curries, with beef red curry, prawn Penang and Massaman all described as delicious or gorgeous, and one reviewer calls the food authentic, nice and spicy with plenty of flavour. Close behind are the chicken satay, the pork belly, a sea bass in chilli and lime, and a sharing platter that one visitor found a good size for a starter. Portions are called huge or very good, and one takeaway order is said to have arrived promptly and fresh. Reviewers also single out friendly, attentive staff who talk first-timers through the menu and offer recommendations, along with the botanical decor and a good choice of cocktails and beers. The complaints are small. One reviewer felt the mocktails could have been better, and another calls the meal not cheap, while a different diner thought it good value for the quality. One group of friends closes by noting that the kitchen was happy to customise their order.
