Quick info
About Zayka
On Church Street in Bicester, Zayka is a Turkish restaurant set in what reads as a converted building, with a pub-style room that separates it from the typical high-street dining space. The kitchen covers Turkish plates from hummus and halloumi starters to lamb chops, mixed shish and the Kuzu Sarma Beyti. All meat is halal, and the bread arrives freshly baked. Generous portion sizes run through the menu, and the mixed platter for two is sized to feed a family of four. A wait for food is common, even at quieter times, so timing the visit matters. The address sits close to Bicester Village, and the counter takes walk-ins across the week.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers consistently single out the lamb chops and shish as standout dishes, joined by a widely praised hummus and halloumi starter. Generous portions and friendly, polite staff anchor most visits, with the freshly baked bread also earning repeated mention. Two diners report lengthy waits, and one describes a coarse prawn starter, though most describe the food as fresh, juicy, and full of flavour. Several suggest returning.

“Food was decent but we had to wait an hour and a quarter for our food whilst the restaurant was completely empty it is disgraceful and insulting that we had to wait that long for 4 meals. Never coming back”

“Proper hidden gem in Bicester. Brilliant food, generous portion sizes, and spot on service. The starters and mains were fresh and juicy, the bread was freshly baked, and the atmosphere inside is lovely and cosy. Easily a five-star experience, we'll definitely be heading back soon.”

“If you are looking for a halal place to eat near Bicester then this is a good spot. We took the long way around but staff helped us find a quicker way back. Was too much like a pub feel in the building, think its been converted. We had a very long wait for our food, but it was a Sunday, so maybe less staff. The food was nice enough but would want better turkish style sauces etc.”
