Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the pizzas, with the pizza italiana praised as delicious and filling, and the make-your-own pizza for kids described as a great way to keep them entertained. Close behind are the chicken Caesar arancini, called packed with flavour, along with pastas such as the lasagne al forno and tagliatelle alla bolognese, and desserts including the panna cotta, tiramisu and a pistachio cheesecake with raspberry sorbet. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and attentive, with one table treated like family and another helped by a server who let them charge a phone. Price is the main complaint. One diner found the Calabrese pizza very average for its cost and another called a bill for four with three pastas crazy expensive. A third was disappointed to be served a half full glass of coke with no ice at a premium charge. One reviewer found the Calabrese crust a little soggy, and an affogato was let down by very bitter coffee. A recurring moment is a server warmly advising a visiting family to head back to their hotel safely after dinner.

“I have ate here at several different times over the last decade and this by far was the best experience. Small plate chicken Caesar arancini to start, this was packed with flavour, my little boy had the make your own pizza and this was class. He was so buzzing to make his own. The food overall was excellent, the affogato while ok was let down by very bitter coffee. This was a small blip in an otherwise faultless night out. Thank you to Vera who was a very happy and pleasant member of staff.”

“The food was absolutely delicious. While we waited for a table we had a nice time chatting with the bartender while he made our drinks which were very good as well! After a long cold day this was a perfect stop for dinner. Our pastas were brought to us very promptly, and we only wished we could have eaten more because watching all the other fantastic looking meals pass by out of the kitchen was not easy. If youre looking for a tasty, cozy meal definitely stop in.”

“It was nice to have Italian after so much pub grub, but 350 GBP for 4 people (3 had pasta) is crazy expensive. 2 drinks each, no wine, and no desert.”
  • BeneatsBelfast
“Had the Calabrese pizza with hot honey & the pistachio cheesecake with the raspberry sorbet for dessert. The pizza was very nicely done, the crust for me was perfect the flavours all worked very well. But it was just a little soggy for my usual liking. The cheesecake & the sorbet complimented each other very nicely and it was not too rich like many cheesecakes can be. Our service was impeccable throughout hadn't been for many years, but would happily return”
