Blue Chicago Grill Dundonald is a US-style diner in Belfast, at East Point Entertainment Village, with booth seating indoors. The kitchen serves its sizzling dishes on individual skillets, including a sweet chilli sizzling chicken and a sizzler steak. Customer Review Summary
Chicken draws the most praise, from the fried chicken called delicious to the sesame chicken with fries and the sweet chilli sizzling chicken served on an individual skillet. Close behind are the burgers, one topped with a generous pile of crispy onion strings, and the brisket, which one regular says nobody else cooks as well. A cocktail pitcher described as tasty yet strong and a passion fruit martini also earn mentions, and several reviewers call the staff friendly and the value good. The complaints are specific, though. One diner's sizzler steak and his wife's arrived well done, dry and tough despite a medium rare order, and the manager apologised but offered only something on a future visit. Another reviewer found the kids' pizzas frozen and greasy and the chicken strips coated in a hard, thick batter. Others call the nachos bland, the pepper sauce too heavy, the beer poorly poured, or the wait longer than expected. One coeliac guest recalls staff advising on which dishes to choose.

“A less than average restaurant if you want a quick meal with no fuss. Service was very good, polite, friendly staff. Meal wasn't anything I'd give high praise for. Tasted very mediocre. Kids pizza's were frozen & served with a ton of grease on them. Bases were hard to cut through. Kids ended up just pulling the cheese of them & left the rest. I had the 4 piece chicken strips. These were served with thick hard dark batter that you couldn't bite without breaking your teeth. Very disappointing. The toilets weren't in good condition. As soon as I opened the door a weird smell just hits you. Two of the stalls in the ladies were stuffed with toilet paper, one with shit. Definitely somewhere I won't be returning to.”

“Had a brilliant time at Blue Chicago recently. The food was absolutely spot on and really hit the mark. I particularly loved the burger, which came topped with a generous pile of crispy onion strings. Everything arrived at the table piping hot and tasted incredibly fresh. It is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a reliable and tasty meal. We will certainly be back soon.”

“Great for pre cinema supper. Good range of the usual burger & grill fare. Prices as expected. Extremely pleasant staff who were very helpful regards Coeliac guests who need strict Gluten free diets, giving advice on choice of dishes & meal preparation to prevent cross contamination as much as possible in their busy kitchen. ( Chose sweet chilli sizzling chicken cooked on an individual skillet ). Highly recommend.”

“We opted for their £15 2 course meal. I had the Nachos to start, which i honestly felt was a bit basic and a bit bland. However my main more than made up for that ! The sesame chicken was cooked well and was very flavourful and combined with the fries it came with, made a very filling meal. Passion fruit Martini was nice as well.”

“My favourite place to eat. I try to eat here at least once per month with family. The service, value, and atmosphere is flawless, plus I'm pretty sure nowhere else cooks and serves brisket so well. #concavemagic”
