About Elite Cafe & Patisserie
Elite Cafe & Patisserie is a cafe in Batley, on Branch Rd, with a halal breakfast menu that gives diners a Desi & English breakfast as well as a full English. Drinks go beyond standard coffee and tea, with karak chai and Spanish latte on offer, and matcha is also available. Cakes, cookies and pastries come in a large selection, which suits the patisserie half of the name. The cafe is open daily, so breakfast and brunch are available every day of the week. The space is small and compact, and tables are often full, so a wait at busy times is common. Bookings are taken via Instagram.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the full English and Desi breakfasts, with the Spanish latte and speciality karak chai also named, and the full English is praised for one of the best beef sausages a reviewer has had. Close behind are the habanero cheese bites, hearty shakshuka and loaded croissant, along with a large selection of cakes and cookies in generous portions. Service is described as friendly and quick, with one party arriving just before the brunch kitchen closed and the staff keeping it open so they could order. The main complaint is space. Several say the café is small and always full, making a table hard to get, and one was warned of a wait before being seated quickly. Smaller criticisms include frozen parathas in the Desi breakfast, turkey rashers and raw tomatoes on a full English, and a latte that was not hot enough. One reviewer was offered a free piece of cake to try, and called it the freshest, moistest cake they had had.

“I ordered the Harrisa chicken salad and full English breakfast. The salad was flavoursome and I'm happy with the healthy option. It did.not sit too heavy after being consumed. The Full English breakfast was also very nice and filling.Parking is available for free outside for an hour otherwise you must pay at the metre.”

“Absolutely loved Elite! Such a great spot, especially if you’re looking for halal food, amazing coffee, and genuinely delicious dishes. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The habanero cheese bites are a must — crispy, cheesy, with the perfect little kick. The hearty shakshuka was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor, and the loaded croissant was easily another favorite. Their coffee is also excellent and pairs perfectly with their selection of pastries and cakes, which are just as good as the savory food. Elite is definitely a place I’d come back to. Great food, great coffee, and so many tempting options on the menu. Highly recommend!”

“Got a full English, decent stuff. Personally felt like the turkey rashers let the plate down a bit, also I didn’t understand the point of raw tomatoes. Not a lot of space inside but they do have some out door seating albeit on the main road. Other than this great service and a decent experience all round.”

“Food and Service are excellent, food is so flavourful and delicious every single time, coffees are amazing also, i wish the cafe was bigger as its always full and hard to get a table most of the time.... but thats just proof at how great the place is! 👌😍”

“ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! 10/10 Honestly, Cafe Elite is a proper hidden gem! 💎 We turned up and they warned us there might be about a 20 minute wait because the place is quite compact, but mashallah they sorted us out so fast and got us a table straight away! ⏱️🙌 The place has serious WOW FACTOR 🤩 Everything is decorated so nicely, clean, modern and feels very welcoming. The staff are all ladies and they are absolutely on the ball, Service was quick, polite and professional, proper good vibes! The Food & Drink: • ☕ Latte was spot on, proper nice coffee! • 🍳 Desi & English Breakfast was very impressive, tasted fresh and full of flavour. • 🍰 Cakes were lovely, definitely recommend trying them! Only tiny suggestion: For the Desi breakfast, it would be even better if they used fresh homemade parathas instead of frozen ones, but apart from that everything else was perfect! Honestly had an amazing time, will definitely be coming back! Strongly recommend this place! 🔥💯”
