Customer Review Summary
Crispy duck is the dish diners raise most, with several calling it the best they have ever had, whether served over hot and spicy udon, alongside chili noodles, or with spicy white rice. Close behind are the noodle bowls: a hot and sour wheat noodle soup, Chongqing small noodles, and a stewed beef hofan whose beef pulls apart effortlessly. Others mention dumplings, udon with ribs, and beef described as tender and juicy. Diners describe a no-frills room with simple seating, tables close together but not cramped, and clean toilets. Service is repeatedly called quick, including for a group of six and at a busy hour, and several say the food is authentic and the portions filling. One diner stayed past closing time and says the staff were considerate and did not rush them out.

“Absolutely delicious Chinese restaurant. Without doubt the best Chinese food I have ever had. The service was incredibly quick and efficient and the food was spectacular and the prices are very affordable, a great value for money! I ordered the Stewed Beef Hofan and will definitely get again. The beef was soft, succulent and pulled apart effortlessly. The noodles were filling and packed with flavour. You can tell this is a restaurant that has perfected their recipes. Very lucky to have tried this meal, highly recommend!”

“Proper, real deal Chinese restaurant! 0 attention to decoration, 100% attention to taste! I love it! The Chongqing small noodles were delicious (although I guess they adapted the spiciness to the western sensitivity for me), and the mouth watering beef was as delicious as one would expect from a proper (= non westernised) Chinese restaurant. The prices are excellent also, as one would expect from this type of place. Highly recommended!”

“My favorite Chinese noodle restaurant in Bath. The prices are reasonable, and you can choose between spicy and non-spicy options. We arrived at around 7 pm and stayed until after 8 pm (past closing time), but the staff were very considerate and didn’t rush us out. Highly recommend this place.”

“Good comforting bowl of noodles for a reasonable price. Went at a busy hour but waited only 15-20 minutes. Beef was tender and juicy and meat was well cooked. Will be back for more :)”
