About Tap 17 Micro Bar
Tap 17 Micro Bar is a micro pub and beer hall on High Street in Ashford, set in a compact pub room with a garden out back. The bar keeps the drinks list deliberately short, pouring lager alongside Biddenden cider, and the team runs it as a sit-and-stay format rather than a standing bar. Dogs are welcome inside and in the garden. Seats fill quickly at peak times, and the policy is to book a seat in advance. The pub room and the back garden together give the space a quiet, neighbourhood feel.

Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers praise the beer and the relaxed atmosphere, with several singling out a small, cool micro pub vibe and lovely staff. One visitor describes singing Springsteen with locals late into a busy night. The selection, however, divides opinion: one reviewer found only lager and Biddenden cider available, calling the interior and garden scruffy and pokey, while several suggest booking a seat ahead, noting the policy is not well advertised.

“I don't know why it's so popular. Only lager and biddenden cider served. The pub and garden is scruffy abd pokey. Its better than the Headcorn pubs for taking a mate for a chat, but not much else.”

“Great place, but necessity to book a seat needs to be advertised more!”

“I visited the Tap 17 in mid-July of 2024 from California. It was an incredible experience with an absolutely amazing server/bartender. I wish I could remember her name. She worked alone that night and the place was very busy. My friend and I sang Springsteen songs, visited with the locals and had a great time! Stayed down the road at the Who'd of Thought it. (Getting a ride late was a bit of a challenge) Hope to visit again soon. I hope she hears of this compliment. Many laughs and great fun. Thanks Tap 17!Will return soon as I can.”
