  “⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolutely fantastic evening at Zamanis! My husband and I visited Zamanis in Ashby this evening and honestly couldn’t fault it! From the moment we arrived, the staff were fantastic — so friendly, welcoming and attentive without ever being intrusive. They really made us feel looked after throughout the whole evening. We started with the chicken kebab and halloumi sticks, both of which were delicious. For our main course we both chose the rib-eye steak with peppercorn sauce and coleslaw, the steaks were absolutely cooked to perfection — tender, full of flavour and exactly how we wanted them. Then came dessert… and wow! 😍 We had the icky sticky toffee pudding and the profiteroles. The sticky toffee pudding was honestly one of the nicest desserts we’ve had in a long time. My husband even said that if we’d been at home, he would have licked the bowl clean! 😂 It really was that good! The whole evening was lovely — great food, fantastic service and a really enjoyable atmosphere. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into making sure customers have a great experience. We will definitely be going back and would highly recommend Zamanis to anyone looking for somewhere lovely to eat in Ashby. ❤️ Thank you to all the team for a brilliant evening! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟”

  “We had the Cypriot Meze and it was amazing! The food is 10/10, the staff are great and the atmosphere is lovely. Well worth going to get the Meze. (Favourite is the chicken kebabs, humous, and meatballs.) :)”

  “On Saturday, me and 9 friends had a lovely lunch here. We sat outside and had wine and tapas. The service was fantastic, all of the staff were so friendly and the food was absolutely amazing. We all enjoyed our afternoon so much. Thank you Zamanis… 10/10 as always 💛 …”

  “This was our first visit, and we were really looking forward to it. The restaurant has a lovely little courtyard, which was a great place to sit and enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail, and it gave a really nice first impression. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to our expectations. In fact, our starter was far better than the mains. The main courses were disappointing. The chips tasted like standard oven chips with very little flavour, which wasn't what we'd expect for the price. My chicken was swimming in an overly salty Diane sauce, while my partner's herb-rubbed dish was dry. The pizza was also disappointing—we left most of it. The base wasn't thin, crispy style we'd hoped for and was quite heavy instead. The service was polite but felt rather inattentive. No one came to check whether we were enjoying our meals, and when our plates were cleared, nobody asked how the food had been or whether everything was satisfactory. The interior also felt quite tired and could do with a refresh. Simple touches, such as tablecloths, would have made the tables feel cleaner, more welcoming, and added to the overall dining experience. Overall, it was a very disappointing and expensive evening. It's a shame, as the setting has so much potential, but sadly the food and service didn't justify the cost.”
