About Spice Route Andover

Spice Route Andover is a modern Indian restaurant on High Street in Andover, focused on North Indian cooking. The kitchen runs an all-you-can-eat buffet where the dishes are freshly prepared, and Sundays see a dedicated buffet service. Diners order desserts separately from the main spread. A display of achievements on the wall recognises the kitchen's work, and background music plays throughout the room. Tables are allocated by reservation, and the team has been known to stay open past normal closing time when a large party arrives late. The setting sits in the town centre on High Street, anchoring the menu within easy reach of the surrounding streets.

Customer Review Summary

Diners single out the Sunday buffet and the north Indian dishes as the main draw, calling the food "fantastic," "authentic," and "delicious." Service is repeatedly described as warm, attentive, and accommodating, with one reviewer praising the front-of-house team for keeping the kitchen open late. One diner, however, felt the buffet price was steep for the variety offered. Several suggest it is worth a return visit.

“Went here on a whim with my partner one Sunday when we were looking for a different type of place to have a nice Sunday meal. Well of course this is an Indian Cuisine restaurant and it did not disappoint! They do a buffet on Sundays. They had a few people in and it got a little more busier as we were in there. Great, chilled atmosphere with background music adding to the ambiance. Absolutely delicious food. Reasonably priced drinks for a mid range restaurant. And lovely service. I loved every freshly made dish. There are no desserts for the all you can eat (I wouldn’t have had room!) but you can order as extra. We didn’t make a reservation but arrived earlier in the lunchtime serving so can’t say if it’s absolutely necessary. We spent £44 on 4 soft drinks and two all you can eat buffet meals. For us that was good. Will definitely go back.”

“Amazing food and excellent service. We drove there during our way back to Crawley from Penzance. A303 was closed due to roadworks and we reached very late at around 10:15. Normally they would close by 10 but kept it open till we 14 people had our fantastic dinner. This all was brilliantly managed by Pallavi. Huge respect for Pallavi!! Thank You!!”

“We went for the buffet lunch. Food was good but £61.80 for two with one pint and two bottles of beer was expensive given the lack of choice.”
  • Marcus Ritzer
“Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend mit dem besten indischen Essen dass wir je gegessen haben. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Es ist absolut zu empfehlen! Wir kommen wieder.”
