  “Excellent meal , wonderful service and a cosy intimate setting made this a perfect date night meal. The welcome was professional and friendly and the food arrived quickly after ordering, we both went for the Cullen Skink which was fab and then I went for the mussels in Gochujang sauce which were innovative and excellent , This has made us realise we have missed out on a lot of truly excellent local places due to the general tiredness of Central Aberdeen and we aim to rectify these missing restaurants soon , The Bistro gets a huge thumbs up , tres bon .”

  “I town for the weekend before a wedding. Found this spot based on a Google search for seafood. Soooo glad we came. Delicious food and lovely wait staff. It is a bit more costly than your pub food, but well worth it for a nice seafood meal.”

  “Great service and the place in nice and cosy, however the food wasn’t great, maybe we were unlucky. Chanterelle mushrooms on toast was ok, a bit too much oil, I’d rather it was butter or cream. Oysters tasted a bit strange, not salty at all, i had to sprinkle some salt on them, wasn’t very enjoyable. The mussels were disappointing, soon as we opened the lid and smell was unpleasant, i still tried one and it tasted really bad. We thought mussels may have probably gone off or something. The waitress took them back and we were not charged for them. Cullen skink was good, could do with bread and butter. Overall, not impressed.”

  “The food was excellent and top notch. The place was hopping with people so we were glad we got there early. We noticed the two severs were swamped trying to get out of food, take orders, and make drinks. This really slowed service down. 15 minutes after we finished our meal we had to ask for the check. We had wanted to order dessert but didn't want to just keep waiting. We asked for the check. 10 minutes later we got up to pay at the counter but they insisted they would come to the table. Our great meal was soured by the staff being over extended.”

  “Second time eating here and absolutely blown away again. Service is top-tier and staff are extremely lovely. The scallop starter is a MUST for everyone to try, the meat is seared perfectly, and pairs so well with the romesco sauce. I’ve had them for a starter and again for dessert, and still could have eaten more as they are pure perfection. Tried the trout, the halibut and panko lemon sole and all were excellent, it’s certainly Michelin Bib Gourmand worthy. Had the best non-alcoholic wine I’ve tried in my life - Chardonnay Grand Sud. Tastes like real alcohol, very refreshing and delicate.”

  “Fantastic halibut and fantastic oysters. We usually order different dishes. But we saw how the halibut was served at the next table. It looked so good—even “from a distance”—that we both wanted to enjoy the same dish. And sure enough: the halibut was cooked to perfection. It also paired beautifully with the sides. A big compliment to the kitchen. The oysters were also very good. Overall, we felt that the restaurant offers excellent value for the price. The service was very pleasant—attentive yet unobtrusive.”

  “Fantastic cosy atmosphere in Bistro Verde with lovely attentive staff, the place felt clean and well looked after. The food was absolutely lovely, flavourful and cooked perfectly. Ideal visit for a fish and/or sea food lover. Warning: Not the cheapest but the quality is definitely there ☺️”

  “My friend and I were looking for somewhere nice for lunch. My friend had been here before. We arrived about 12.20 and the place was full. I am so glad she booked it. It was a lovely busy atmosphere and it was Friday afternoon. I had the Cullen Skink which was a meal in itself. Then I had seabass it was so nice. The service charge is included in the bill, we weren't complaining this was worth every penny. Such a great restaurant Make sure you book in advance Highly recommended.”
