About Sixty Three Clinton
Sixty Three Clinton is a New American fine dining restaurant at 63 Clinton St in New York, where a concise, tightly edited menu puts a modern spin on familiar formats. The format leans into shareable plates and composed desserts, with the Breakfast Taco Uni and Caviar Hand Roll serving as signature savory items that anchor the savory side of the menu. Baked Alaska anchors the dessert side, rounding out a progression that moves from lighter, seafood-forward starters to a composed finish. Reservations are advised, and the compact dining room suits small groups looking for a focused meal rather than a sprawling tasting experience.

Customer Review Summary
Diners consistently praise the creative, multi-course tasting menu, with the breakfast taco and the bread course singled out as standout bites. Many highlight the smoked hamachi crudo, the corn trifle, and the Basque cheesecake as memorable dishes, while the hanger steak and squash with pita also draw repeated compliments. The service earns frequent praise for being warm, attentive, and accommodating, with staff often going above and beyond for celebrations and dietary restrictions. Sitting at the kitchen counter is repeatedly recommended for watching the team work. A recurring caveat is that some dishes, particularly the breakfast taco, mackerel, and trout roe, are described as overly salty, and a few reviewers note that the elaborate sauce explanations can feel rushed. One reviewer suggests pacing yourself on the bread to save room for the generous dessert courses.

“I was at 63 Clinton recently. Let me start by saying the one star is well deserved specially when it gets to food. The food is phenomenal. Like any other place there are ups and downs on the menu but you are in right hands. Food 5 out of 5: I think the magic was on some unusual pairings of flavors and texture. The sauces caught you by surprise at times a very pleasant one. I noticed specially on the white asparagus dish (that hole dish was a surprise). The dips for bread service specially the whipped tofu fall into same category. The main savory was beef and I liked it but I cannot say it was in same category as rest. In an unusual twist for me, maybe my most favorite was Basque Cheesecake (but I do have a sweet tooth). Finally the volume. You will be eating a lot!! I made the mistake of too much bread and on the huge final dessert I couldn't properly enjoy it. I was just too full. Service and Atmosphere 4/5 are also great but I think the food is the highlight. One suggestion: the sauces on the dishes are very elaborate and the explanation on them was so fast that I usually had to ask for repeats or just gave up and tried. It felt the explanation were a tad rushed. All in all, great food, and lovely atmosphere and staff. Finally kudos to bar staff. Very very friendly. I loved the place and food and will be back.”

“Decent tasting menu that cherry-picks from many different cuisines. I can’t say anything wowed me, but it was about what you’d expect from a $130 tasting menu. The NA beverage pairing program was kind of a miss though. A couple of the choices were alright, but some of the house brewed options were way too sweet.”

“The service was decent and all the workers were nice! We enjoyed both of the mocktails - the blood orange especially was refreshing. …”

“Excellent meal, every course tasted great and was inventive. The breakfast taco and bread course stood out. Nice and friendly service. The middle two kitchen counter seats were the best in the house to see all the action.”

“Service and vibe is on point. But I have to say the food is a bit disappointing to me. The desserts that blends chefs childhood memory was a great story. Unfortunately both the cheesecake the taco fell short with their overwhelming …”
