Customer Review Summary

Diners consistently single out the striking atrium setting as the defining draw, repeatedly describing the space as beautiful, stunning, and reminiscent of a Parisian brasserie, with the vaulted ceilings and large bar earning specific praise. Close behind, the cocktail program emerges as a standout, with several reviewers calling the drinks fantastic, uniquely crafted, and insanely good, specifically naming the La Vie en Rose cocktail. Among food dishes, the Côte de Boeuf Pour Deux with pommes purée, onion soup, chocolate tart, steak frites, and crème brûlée receive repeated praise, along with escargot and steak tartare. Service is frequently described as attentive and accommodating, with one reviewer noting staff kindly replaced an overly salty salmon dish. A few recurring caveats surface: some tables upstairs are described as tightly packed, one reviewer found the lobster pasta bland and not worth the price, and another noted the indoor patio area can feel very cold in winter despite being enclosed. Several suggest making a reservation in advance.

We had dinner at La Grande Boucherie last night and had an amazing experience! Our appetizers and entree were cooked to perfection, and the cocktails were fantastic! For our appetizer, we ordered the Soup À Lòignon and the prime steak tartare. For our entree, we had the Côte de Boeuf Pour Deux with pommes purée as a side. For dessert, we ordered the crème brûlée. Everything was wonderful! Our server was so sweet and very attentive! The restaurant is gorgeous inside. The perfect date night spot! It’s definitely a go-to restaurant in NYC! I highly recommend La Grande Boucherie and look forward to visiting again soon!

Whenever the restaurant is built inside of an atrium between two buildings in Manhattan , it gives a spectacular view and ambience. The food is typical bistro style food casual. Escargot, steak tartare, escargot 🐌, Gaspacho, etc. The food here is really good. Staff is very nice. Being in the atrium really speaks for itself that’s the main selling point. Great for date night. It’s like being in a Parisian bistro back in the early 1900s. Give this place a try if you’re in the area. We will definitely be going back.

I really loved the tuna tartare—even though I’m not usually a fan, this one was surprisingly awesome. I initially ordered the salmon, but it was a bit too salty for my taste. The staff were very accommodating and kind enough to replace it, …
