  “(Review from Dec. 2025): First time at Gramercy Tavern, we had lunch on the tavern side. We both really enjoyed everything we ate, they are serving some really solid American food. The flatbread and dips and the burger stood out above the rest. I think the burger is an all timer in the city. The milk and cookie dessert was fun but it didn’t blow us away. Gramercy also has a great cocktail program, so definitely keep that in mind. I had one of the best dirty martinis ever, it came with homemade blue cheese olives that were out of this world. As to be expected of this restaurant group, the service we experienced Michelin quality, attentive but warm and easy. They brought us a complimentary mini-cake to celebrate our anniversary, it was delicious. One great thing about Gramercy is how seasonal it is. It makes you want to return to see the new menu items and motifs. Overall, highly recommend Gramercy Tavern and can’t wait to return!”

  “This was my fourth Danny Meyer restaurant visit—after Shake Shack, Union Square Cafe, and Manhatta—and it was easily the best. Everything was exquisite: the ambiance, the food, and the service. The Snowdance Farm Chicken was one of the best chicken dishes I've ever had. It was crispy yet chewy on the outside, beautifully tender on the inside, and brought together by an absolutely delicious Asian-inspired sauce. The tomato salad was also super refreshing, bursting with a vibrant, healthy summer flavor. Best of all, our server, Marissa, made this the finest dining experience we’ve had in New York. She was welcoming without being intrusive, exceptionally professional, and genuinely friendly.”

  “The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, but the food itself was just average. Nothing really stood out or surprised us in terms of flavor. The bread was excellent, and the fish and desserts were enjoyable, but overall the meal didn't quite live up to the expectations for the price. The biggest disappointment was the atmosphere. The restaurant was extremely noisy, and it honestly felt more like a food court than a fine dining restaurant. It was difficult to have a conversation without raising our voices. Another downside was the wait for dessert. We had to wait about 20 minutes after our main course before it was served. It may have been because the restaurant was busy, but it definitely affected the overall dining experience. Overall, it's worth trying once, but I was expecting a more memorable meal and a much better dining atmosphere.”

  “What a meal! Dare I say, the best I’ve had so far this year. I’m claiming that despite us only being halfway through the year. It’s two days later and I’m still thinking about it. I was a few minutes early for my reservation. Early enough that I was given water while I waited by the front door where there happened to be some seating. I ended up being seated right behind the party of 3 who arrived after me. Since my resy was on the early side I was the first one seated in the dining room area. I was in the little corner & had a great view of the other side of the dining room, towards the front door. My choices were the following: Heirloom Tomatoes Ravioli Trout Pork loin Chocolate flan When I tell you, it was a lot of food. Before my actual meal even started, I was given some type of pastry that came with a dip. After my wine was served, my server dropped off a complimentary cucumber soup. It was super herby and refreshing. It certainly opened my palate. I inhaled course 1 so quickly which was the tomatoes and melon salad. The sweet potato bread that was served with it was so good I almost agreed to the offer for a second one. I’m so glad I opted not to. Next up was the ricotta ravioli that melted in my mouth like butter. I used the bread I had left to scoop up all the green stuff. I was starting to get full by the time the trout came, but I sure did eat the whole thing. I almost wanted to tap out halfway through the pork dish. I really should’ve ended with the belly since the loin was way easier to eat. The belly has always been my favorite despite the fat you gotta chew extra for. The last 3 bites really sent me over the edge. I could’ve left the last 2 bites sit on the plate, but I insisted on pushing on. My dessert choice which was the chocolate flan paired perfectly with the espresso I had no business ordering. I cleared that plate. I can confidently say every plate I was served was cleaned out. Not a single bite was left. Just as I thought it a feat to finish everything, I was given a to go treat, a blueberry pastry. Overall, the food was already at 10/10. My dining experience was made perfect by how impeccable the service was. Alison took such great care of me. I feel like we immediately got off on the right foot. The vibes vibed. She checked in just the right amount of times. I noticed when the floor manager huddled with certain staff I’m assuming to get updates. They were discreet and quick. Best of all, you couldn’t hear what they were saying. I also have to commend every single person who came to my table to either drop off a dish, clear my table or clean up the mess I made. I felt compelled to say thank you each time. I walked out of here full and thankful. The second I got home, I hit the couch and passed out. I can’t wait to be back in the city during a different season. I’m excited to see a different menu.”

  “We had such a wonderful dinner at Gramercy Tavern. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive — they even told us about the champagne with pineapple and shared the history behind the pineapple as a symbol of hospitality, which was so interesting. The food was absolutely delicious, and the interior is beautiful, with thoughtful and unique details. We were also pleasantly surprised by the number of compliments from the restaurant — it made the whole experience feel extra special and warm. We truly loved everything about our evening and can’t wait to come back again ✨”

  “Gramercy Tavern is a tried and true establishment. You can safely expect their quality of both food and services to be excellent every single time. One thing that really stood out to me is that even though I am a meat lover, I find myself looking forward to their veggie dishes over and over again. It is impossible to recreate these dishes at home which makes the price tag much easier to digest. Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to book the dinning room at GT for any special occasions or for when you just want to indulge on a random Tuesday”
