  “Unfortunately really bad experience yesterday, August 3rd. Beyond the fact that service was so slow, drinks came 30 minutes after food, and waiter forgot an item, when pouring water for us from the pitcher there was a big bug in it. Tried to get the waiters attention to remove the water, but he walked away. And then they added automatic 20% gratuity …… we came for my friends birthday and left disappointed.”

  “Food was AMAZING and absolutely worth the visit. The tacos and guac were sooo good. Only small feedback is that the seating felt a little tight for plus-size guests, but overall we had a great experience and the food was top tier.”

  “We visited La Contenta late in the evening, after 9 PM, while exploring New York, and it was a great choice. The Mexican food was delicious, full of flavor, and freshly prepared. The restaurant is small, but that’s part of its charm. The bar, authentic Mexican music in the background, and a cold Mexican beer created an amazing atmosphere. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with great food and a genuine vibe, I highly recommend this place!”

  “Mole was killer. We’re careful with chicken breast, since other places can make it dry, but it was great and delicious here. My nachos were awesome. Asked for hot sauce and they delivered with Serrano sauce. Will be back with friends. So good!!”

  “La Contenta is a real little gem. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. The food was outstanding, and the service was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed the enchilada and poblano chilli dishes, both of which were full of flavour and beautifully prepared. A special mention must go to the guava juice, which was absolutely delicious and one of the highlights of our visit. A wonderful dining experience from start to finish. We look forward to returning and highly recommend La Contenta to anyone looking for authentic food, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere”

  “What an amazing little spot!. It's probably like 35 seats. The server was incredibly attentive and we are greeted immediately upon entering. When other places in the area closed this place was open and you had no idea they were closing anytime soon. The food was hot prompt delicious deepen flavors lots of smoky chili and attention to detail on every single dish. . Perfect Mexican playlist, warm, vibrant atmosphere without being loud or obtrusive. Can't wait to go back”

  “Ventured out for our 26th wedding anniversary. Enchiladas Suizas de Pollo, Tacos de Pollo, guacamole, El Mayan and El Mariachi for drinks. Dinner was excellent, drinks even better. Service and atmosphere is always a plus. Thanks for hosting us through the years.”
