“I went with my 10 yo for a gel manicure. The nail tech, without checking with me, proceeds to put nail extensions on her. When I realized this was happening, and 3 were already glued on, I said “whoa, that’s not what we wanted! “In the process of me saying I don’t want her to have acrylic nails, the tech and the owner/manager say the following: “this is what you showed in the picture” (my daughter wanted polkadots and the inspiration pic was an adult woman’s hands 🤷🏽♀️); “it looks better with the acrylic” (I don’t care); “it’s more work for us and you pay the same when we don’t add the nails”(that is an absolute lie, it’s more steps and materials to do a full set than a gel manicure); “she’ll cut them short” (I don’t want acrylic on my 10 year old)… I had to advocate 5 times to finally get them soaked off. All the while, the nail tech was continuing on as I was asking for this to stop. It led to me & my daughter in tears. I couldn’t believe that what I was saying I wanted for my child was blatantly ignored and disregarded. I will absolutely NEVER go there again”
