About Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse
Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse is a steak house, bar, and Italian restaurant in Chicago, serving steaks and basic Italian dishes at 33 W Kinzie St. An old-fashioned setting filled with lots of sports memorabilia defines the room, tying together its identity as a sports bar, cocktail bar, event venue, and caterer under one roof. The menu centers on familiar steak house and Italian offerings, with the 12oz Filet Mignon as a leading main and Harry's Calamari as a shared starter. Dessert options include Key Lime Pie with Whipped Cream, rounding out a lineup that covers mains, sides, and catering packages for groups. Customer Review Summary
Reviewers consistently single out the steak as the primary draw, with the filet mignon and bone-in ribeye repeatedly praised for being cooked exactly as requested. Close behind are the appetizers, especially the calamari and four cheese toasted ravioli, alongside the chips served at the bar. Diners also highlight the extensive sports memorabilia filling the walls and the well-mixed cocktails, specifically noting the Maker's Mark Old Fashioned and espresso martini. The restaurant earns strong marks for accommodating celiac disease with knowledgeable staff and quality gluten-free pasta, and the baseball dessert is a popular pick for birthdays. A few reviewers found certain Italian entrees underwhelming, describing the spaghetti and meatballs as basic with lackluster meatballs and the rigatoni vodka sauce as unremarkable. The bustling peak hours prompt several reviewers to suggest making a reservation or grabbing a seat at the bar. Even when busy, diners appreciate that the noise level remains low enough for conversation and that the staff never rushes the table.

“Awesome experience! Food was amazing , and fresh! Lupe was my server amd he and the team where on top of it! They refilled my drink without pause. As a single person they usually dont pay attention to you because your ticket isn't big, but I felt like a Queen!”

“The beef sliders were delicious. We also ordered the Chicken Vesuvio, but it wasn’t really my flavor. The restaurant can get very busy during peak hours, so we went around 3 PM to avoid any issues with availability. The staff was very friendly, and the calamari was also delicious.”

“Always a pleasure to eat at Harry's. The service is top notch, the food is excellent, and they have terrific cocktails and craft beer selections. Went this evening to celebrate a birthday. If you go for a birthday, make sure to try the baseball dessert. So good, and a lot of fun!”

“This food was amazing. I have celiac disease and they handled it amazingly. I had some of the best gf pasta I've ever had and had some amazing steak. They were very knowledgeable about celiac. I whould really suggest it. They also have some really cool cubs memorabilia.”

“We had a late lunch/early dinner and I would still recommend a reservation. Steak was cooked to perfection. Great appetizers and dessert. We appreciated the staff allowing us not to be rushed, yet still be attentive.”
