About Toby Carvery Arrowe
Toby Carvery Arrowe is a carvery on Arrowe Park Rd in Wirral that pairs its roast counter with an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet. At the carvery, a carver serves the meat, and guests choose from an array of roasts and mix and match, with potatoes among the items on the plate. Breakfast is served with cheese, bacon and potato additions. Table service runs alongside the counter, so drinks and orders come to the table. Desserts include the honeycomb dream sundae and a few simpler options. Dogs are welcome, which makes the carvery workable for visitors bringing a pet. A queue forms at busy times, including a line for a table.

Customer Review Summary
Diners return mainly for the carvery plate, with roasts mixed and matched, and the potatoes draw the most affection, one reviewer saying they dream about them. Friendly, quick service comes up close behind, even in a long queue or around 8PM, when the selection was still good and the food hot. The honeycomb dream sundae stands out among the simple desserts, and one breakfast visitor praises the cheese, bacon and potato serving. Complaints are specific. One reviewer found the food dry and the line for a table out the door. Another was told breakfast had run out before eleven while others carried full plates. A third found the eggs not replenished, many broken or hard under the lamps. One fan notes takeaway boxes are not provided, but the manager said customers can bring their own.

“Called in for a bite to eat in between hospital appointments as I was very hungry. Told in no uncertain manner that they weren't serving breakfast as they'd run out. It was only 10.40.... although several people with full plates were finding seats. Ok, how about something else to eat? You'll have to wait until 12.00 was the unfriendly reply. So I left. Never to return.”

“Most carveries aren't anything to write home about, but my first experience here was marred by incredibly slow service (the line for waiting for a table went out the door and took 10 minutes to be seated) and overly dry food. The price wasn't bad, and has a welcoming family atmosphere inside, but the experience of having dinner suffered. And it's a shame, because being able to scan a QR code to order your meal and pay would have halved my issues.”

“A great experience coming here last night. Still had a good selection on their carvery, despite it being around 8PM. Staff were as friendly as ever, super helpful and very efficient. Deserve any positive recognition they get. Can’t fault anything with the food, tasted great, still hot and plenty of flavour. Always happy to return.”

“Don't understand some of the negative reviews The food was well nice. Everything was cooked really well and the queue was massive but still got served quick Our waiter Levi was well sound and get everything sorted really fast even being really busy Don't come here if you're expecting being waited on hand and foot. It's a carvery. Go up, get a massive plate of food, and go home. Also this was my first experience at a toby EVER. I will 1000% be back”

“The food was alright, they serve as buffet in a way. You can choose from the array of roasts you want with whatever mix and match you prefer . I quite liked the idea of having a "Sunday roast" , whenever you wanted with the people you want to share your moments with. Followed by simple but tasty desserts. No time to think about the waist size!”
