Quick info
About Windsor Farm Shop Café
Windsor Farm Shop Café is a coffee shop on Datchet Rd in Windsor, set at the back of a farm shop with the shop next door. The café pours coffee from its own organic fair trade beans and serves pots of P.M. David Silva & Sons Tea, with mint and lemongrass among the options. Scones come with jam and cream, and the cake selection on display includes a coffee and walnut cake. A vegan breakfast sits on the menu beside the cooked one, and sandwiches cover lunchtime. Orders go in at the counter, and the team brings food and drinks to the table. The café opens daily, daytime only, and dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Scones and cream tea draw the most comment at this café at the back of the farm shop. One reviewer calls the scones near perfect, with a soft plain one, while another finds a big scone very dry with little cream. Cakes come up close behind. One visitor praises the selection, but another describes coffee and walnut and lemon drizzle slices as extremely dry and apparently on display for days. Tea gets mixed notes: lemongrass tea earns praise and a pot of tea poured without dripping, while a mint tea arrived in a greasy cup and saucer. Coffee splits too, with one reviewer finding it at the right drinking temperature and another calling an Americano almost translucent. Service is the sharpest divide. Some find the staff friendly and the service quick, while others report slow tea orders, rude staff behind the till, and a room that is uncomfortably cold. One reviewer describes oat milk in a coffee that had curdled, a curt reply at the counter, and a refund requested afterward.

“Paid a visit to the cafe last week with a friend. It wasn’t until I’d drunk half of my coffee (and the froth had gone) that I realised I was drinking what resembled scrambled egg! I went back to the counter to advise them the Barista oat milk was off - to be told in a curt manner in front of customers “It’s does that” I assured her it doesn’t, I use this brand at home, I said I wasn’t asking for a refund (to which she replied GOOD!) I just didn’t want another customer to drink it. WOW! Things go wrong- it’s how you deal with it that reflect your customer service (so I then requested a refund)”

“Really low food quality at high prices in this cafe. what more do you need ? It used to be ok but what happened ?As to the location yes and the shop too but portions or taste in the cafe is nearing the zero mark. Just head to windsor, or Eton only 2 minutes away for better places.”

“Haven't visited for ages (a few years) so good to see nothing has really changed. Atmosphere was good, food (incl cakes) selection is great, coffee at the right drinking temp (unlike other places), service was quick. Lots of places to sit and chillax.”
