About Esquires Coffee Windsor
Esquires Coffee Windsor is a coffee shop at 19-23 High St in Windsor, almost opposite Windsor Castle, with a view toward the castle from the seating. Inside, large open spaces look out onto the street. The menu pairs Fairtrade and organic coffees and teas with food that runs from breakfast through lunch to afternoon tea. A classic English breakfast with sausages covers the morning, and scones with clotted cream are on the menu for the afternoon. Hot chocolate joins the drinks as a winter special. Service runs from the register: guests order and pay first, then find their own table. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the view of Windsor Castle from the seats inside and the outdoor tables on the High Street, and several stop in after exploring the castle. Coffee comes close behind, with one latte praised for its generous size. Scones with clotted cream and winter milkshakes and hot chocolate also get mentions. Breakfast earns its own praise, particularly the sausages in a classic English breakfast, and high chairs for babies are appreciated. Several describe the staff as kind and the place as cosy. The complaints are about the ordering system and a few drinks. Diners must find a table and then pay at the register before food arrives, which one reviewer called a huge let down in a crowded room. Two low reviews describe a watery white chocolate mocha that could not be swapped for another drink, and a cold welcome with a rushed order. In the second, the soya milk arrived warm and could not be replaced with cold because alternative milks are not kept in the fridge, so the tea had to cool before it could be drunk.

“Went in for coffees the other day and the service was great and the drink quality seemed high. Nice outdoor seating - looking toward Windsor Castle! Great spot!”

“Not impressed. We didn't get a warm welcome or made to feel like they wanted us there. Felt rushed when ordering even though there was only us in the queue. Didn't see the man serving us smile once. Bought cakes which were ok, nothing special. I asked for soya milk, it was warm. So I asked for some cold soya milk and they said they dont keep alternative milks in the fridge!! I'm pretty sure you are meant to. So I had to sit there (in the lovely warm atmosphere..not) longer than I wanted to until my tea got cold enough to drink (I like a lot of cold milk in my tea so its cool enough to drink straight away).”

“Nice, cozy coffee place that we visited after exploring the Windsor Castle. The staff were super nice!”
- Yarys
“A really lovely and cosy place with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The coffee and food were delicious, clearly good quality and well prepared. What made the visit even more special was the beautiful view of Windsor Castle — such a nice setting to sit back and relax. Friendly service and a calm, comfortable vibe made it a perfect stop. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily come back again.”

“I’m visiting Windsor and was looking for a good coffee spot so I stopped here. I ordered a white chocolate mocha and regular mocha and was hugely disappointed. The drink was really watery. When asking to change to a different drink, they couldn’t accommodate.”
