Customer Review Summary
Diners most often return for the flavourful, authentic-tasting Thai cooking, with the Duck Tamarind, the Tom Yum noodle soup and tofu and vegetables with noodles named as dishes reviewers enjoyed. Close behind are the welcoming, attentive staff and an atmosphere several say feels like home, with decorations and background music that remind them of Thailand. Reasonable prices and generous servings come up repeatedly, and one reviewer recommends the daytime lunch menu while another suggests looking out for the events. The complaints are specific. One reviewer found the starters small, describing three finger-sized spring rolls. Another received lukewarm food, including an almost inedible omelette and prawn crackers wrapped in clingfilm. A third, dining with a one year old, was asked to leave a booked table soon after the food arrived, while other tables were not. One family describes being invited into the kitchen to meet the main chef.

“I went here with family for my Grandmother’s birthday meal (party of 5) and the entire experience was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious, came out at a reasonable time and was all well priced. I personally had the Duck Tamarind and it was perfect. The staff were wonderful, they made the whole process very easy and welcoming. I will absolutely be recommending this to friends and coworkers. Would definitely come again.”

“Always an amazing meal at Simply Thai. The staff, service & the food is always incredible! 🇹🇭🍜 There is a really large selection to choose from on the menu, including veggie options, I got tofu and vegetables with my noodles. We went for tea this time but I would also reccomend going at lunch for their daytime menu which is really reasonably priced.”

“Been here before and love the food. Had a table booked for 18:30 today rang up before to let them know we’re running 5 minutes late and the lady said she’ll ask the manager and we got told we only could have the table till 19:30. For lateness I thought it’s 15 minutes extra if no show anyway got there for 18:35 and ordered food and drinks 10 minutes later the food came at 19:05 and 7:25pm they ask us to leave basically to have the table for next customer bare in mind we had a one year old with us for feeding as well as ourselves other table were before us but they never got asked to leave…”

“We paid around £50 for a good few items from here… The food arrived lukewarm and tasted so bad it was almost inedible, and I’ll eat pretty much anything. How did they manage to ruin an omelette?! The sticky rice arrived in a small plastic bag and had a scent I can only describe as that weird smell people in their 90s have, & the small quantity of chicken I managed to ingest made me feel viscerally sick 🤢 And for some reason the prawn crackers were wrapped in clingfilm.”
