Customer Review Summary
Group celebrations are what reviewers describe most, from a hen do bottomless brunch to a surprise thirtieth, a rehearsal dinner and a leaving do in the glass room. Portions are called huge and massive. The dishes named include small plates with extra tacos, the Cajun chicken sandwich on ciabatta, homemade flatbread with coriander salad, and lamb kofta with chips. The French martini is singled out among the cocktails. Staff are described as lovely, friendly and accommodating by most. The complaints are fewer but specific. One diner found the club sandwich and steak sandwich short on flavour, with burnt toast and frozen chips, and another found the chips oily. One party left after a staff member challenged them over a table they had just been shown to, and another reviewer saw plates go uncleared during a baby shower. A few mention pricey drinks, a small car park and a loud room, and one suggests booking ahead. Large parties repeatedly note drinks and food arriving together.

“Myself and my partner came on a Saturday night and had a few drinks, atmosphere was good but not much service with a smile. Decided to come back Sunday as I’d left my car and grab some lunch. Again, welcome was poor and the guy on the door who I’m assuming was the manager didn’t really look like he wanted to be there. There was a baby shower going on and one of the members of the party were having to remove their own food plates and glasses so that they had room. Took a while for our food order to be taken and we had a club sandwich and steak sandwich. Neither had much flavour to them, my toast was burnt and the chips were just frozen ones from the freezer. No interaction to see if we were happy with our meals and none when leaving either. It’s not particularly cheap so was expecting better quality. Probably won’t return for food but the drinks were ok. Need to train staff on using their initiative to remove dirty plates when people have finished a meal and interact with customers as those little touches go a long way!”

“We absolutely love this restaurant! The food is delicious and we held our rehearsal dinner here last year, and the staff were lovely and so accommodating. We have also dined here several times with friends; the drinks are a bit pricey, but very nice! Parking is difficult as the carpark is on the smaller side, and it can be a bit loud inside due to how busy it gets. I would recommend booking ahead of time, but we have also just turned up and been seated quickly.”

“I organised my wife's 30th surprise party at the posthouse and Craig the manager and his team couldn't have been more helpful. The night was great, we had the glass room to ourselves, the food came out quick and the portions were massive. Great value for money, the place looked amazing and the services was fantastic. I would highly reccomend. My wife hates surprises and even though she was anxious at first she had the best time and loved every minute.”

“A Big Thank You to Post House 🥂 We visited Post House on Saturday afternoon for a friend’s hen do and had such a fantastic time at the bottomless brunch! The atmosphere was brilliant, the food was lovely, and we were all extremely well looked after. A special mention has to go to Jay, who was absolutely amazing throughout. He was constantly on the go, making sure our drinks were topped up, checking that everyone was okay and always doing it with a smile. We certainly must have kept him busy with a group of women on a bottomless brunch! 😂 Jay really went above and beyond and is a credit to Post House. Thank you for making our afternoon even more enjoyable, Jay — you were fantastic! We’ll definitely be back! ❤️”

“I have been here a few times and, if I’m honest, the experience has usually ranged somewhere between “acceptable” and “mild endurance event.” The food is generally overpriced, the quality inconsistent, and the service often feels like you’re inconveniencing the staff simply by arriving. Still, the location is handy for large party bookings and parking is nearby, so we’ve historically tolerated it out of convenience rather than enthusiasm. After tonight, though, that experiment in patience is officially over. We had a reservation for 18:30, were seated by staff, handed menus, and settled in despite the restaurant sounding like the inside of a collapsing aircraft hangar. Unfortunately, the evening then took a strange turn when a rather stout member of staff marched over and aggressively demanded to know why we were sitting at “someone else’s table” the very table we had been shown to by their own staff moments earlier. Apparently dining there now comes with an unexpected interrogation segment. Rather than stay and risk being treated like squatters in a hostage negotiation, we decided to leave. An unnecessarily rude, awkward and genuinely uncomfortable experience. Safe to say I won’t be organising any future bookings there.. life’s too short to pay premium prices for public humiliation and a side order of confusion.”
