Customer Review Summary
Reviewers split sharply, and the most repeated complaint is customer service and wrong or badly cooked orders. Several describe pizzas arriving burnt or with raw dough inside, and others got the wrong topping, such as jalapeño instead of chicken, or plain chicken instead of chicken tikka. One reviewer paid extra for pepperoni crust and received deep crust, then reports being shouted at by the manager. Another says staff offered no remake or refund for undercooked pizzas, and one was offered a replacement but asked to hand back the burnt pizza. A delivery driver is also described as rude and leaving a customer to collect the order from the street. Others object to charges for extra sauces and a 1+1 medium pizza offer they found poor value. On the positive side, two reviewers praise the pizza itself, describing a crispy crust, generous toppings, and fast delivery, with one calling it cheaper than the big chains. Even a critical reviewer says the pizza tasted great.

“I ordered the two of us deal for delivery, tops watford has been my go to pizza shop, however this time it has been a nightmare!!! I ordered 2 pepperoni crust large pizzas, they sent deep crust, when I called and said I paid almost £10 extra for pepperoni crust they said it was their mistake and they will send me a medium pepperoni crust half and half, each half being each of the 2 pizzas i ordered. I said no I want 2 pepperoni crust as I spent money on 2 pepperoni crust. Then I was passed on to the manager and he didn’t sound like the manager. So I said are you the manager because you aren’t fixing anything you keep cutting me off and offering me a medium pizza, he then proceeds to shout at me on the phone in front of my kids saying “I AM THE MANAGER” like excuse me, where is the respect? Hello??? After that I said I cannot believe it to the man, I asked for his name he said ajmal or ijmal something like that, i then said right my husband will be coming to the shop, my husband then proceeds to come to the shop, everyone is laughing and smiling and not serious. Once my husband spoke to this so called manager, he said to the manager you spoke to my wife very disrespectfully, in front of my young kids, that’s not a good example, the manager completely ignored my husband and went and took a phone call from another customer, during this a old man with hearing aids and glasses roughly looking 60 picked up 20 XL boxes from this black chair, and went and tried stacking them up on the red counter, instead of them being on the counter a few of them fell on my husband, firstly WHY IS THERE A OFFICE CHAIR IN A SHOP, SECONDLY WHY ARE YOU MAKING A 60 YEAR OLD PICK UP THAT MANY BOXES, my husband said you are a joke, the manager then said to my husband, I’m sorry while smiling and laughing and drinking milk like he did not care. Once my husband walked out and went to his car, a blue Honda jazz Drivers car was blocking me, my husband respectfully said please can you move your car i need to leave, the driver then goes to my husband and says wait, there is a delivery that is almost ready, my husband then waited 8 minutes and driver puts his middle finger up when he horns, picture and plate of the car and picture of the shop and this ijmal ajmal manager has been sent to watford borough council and local law enforcement police officers. I said right I will be reporting him to council, now I have a meeting with council of watford borough this week and they will be taking my statement and sending officers of council to inspect the shop and after that this shop will be going through the board of hygiene and safety because excuse me, there is no respect or service I was treated like a dog. This must be a new manager as last year this manager or worker was never here, the shop was better without him.”

“Pizza was somewhat decent but the customer service was poor and charging extra for basic sauces just feels greedy. If I’m already paying premium prices, sauces shouldn’t cost extra. Overall, experience left a bad impression.”

“I've had pizzas from here since I went to college over 15 years ago and after moving back to the area recently it's still just as good as I remember. A little more expensive than your typical local pizza place, but still cheaper than the big chains and easily as good if not better too. Ordered about 11.15pm and got my food about 11.50pm just before they closed. Everything was cooked perfectly and the delivery was fast.”

“I recently ordered from Tops Pizza in Watford, and I couldn’t be more impressed! The pizza was absolutely delicious – fresh, hot, and bursting with flavor. The crust was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were generous and high quality. The delivery was prompt, and the customer service was friendly. Definitely one of the best pizza places in Watford. Highly recommend”
