“We visit my son in Newton le Willows every fortnight and we always go for a 3 course meal every time. We visited the pub on 11/07/2026. We were aware that the food prices were more expensive than the other pubs we had visited, however, the menu looks good and we weren't disappointed. Food, service and staff are excellent. Pub is immaculately clean and a pleasure to eat at. We usually pay around £125 for 3 courses and drinks, this was £163. It was worth it for a treat! We tend to revisit a pub if we are happy. I would revisit and recommend but I wouldn't go back on a regular basis because of the price. Perhaps consider with a Blue light discount like The Swan. Thank you for a relaxing family meal.”

“Went for Sunday lunch. Long wait (45mins) because they didn't tell us that the vegetable Wellington was cooked from scratch. Amazing presentation, perfect Yorkshire not just the giant crispy ones that you get some places. Roast beef very generous portion and very tender but didn't have the most amazing amount of flavours. Lavender frangipane was cold, dry, small and flavourless, very disappointing. And their jersey ice cream was barely vanilla tasting. Bit disappointing overall but would probably try again to give the benefit of the doubt because the staff are lovely, the presentation is great and it's a nice venue.”
