Quick info
About Toby Carvery Warrington
Toby Carvery Warrington is a carvery on Floyd Dr in Warrington, built around meat carved at the counter and served straight onto the plate. Diners order drinks at the table, then collect their own food from the carvery. Roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and gravy come alongside the meat, and there is a choice of vegetables with the option to go back for more. The chef comes out to serve and explain the choices. An all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet runs alongside the carvery, so the menu covers more than the roast. A light bites option sits next to the carvery for those who want something smaller, and the menu offers few other alternatives. Dogs are welcome, so owners can bring their pets along.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly, welcoming servers, with several describing polite staff, nice banter and regular friend catch-ups, and one praising a returned jumper that was posted back the next day. The carvery itself draws mixed comments. Some call the meat hot, well cooked and carved or served by a chef, with plenty of vegetables and the option to go back for more, while others found it good value. Sides are the main complaint: one diner found the peas and carrots and the roast potatoes dry and the mash tasteless, with only the parsnips cooked well. Another arrived after 6 pm to find the meat had run out and called the sausages wretched. One detailed negative describes forgotten drinks, a gluten allergy that was never passed on, cold food and a bill that charged for five people instead of four. A Sunday-night visitor wished for lighter bar snacks than the carvery menu, and a mix up in the kitchen was met with an apology from the waitress.

“On arrival there was difficulty on finding the entrance, no fault to the establishment, however once finally inside we were greeted to nothing but a cold unwelcoming atmosphere. Instead of being directed to our table our lazy waiter pointed to the nearest booth. After waiting roughly 5 minutes we ordered our drinks and then were asked to repeat them several times as she was to workshy to write things down. After waitkng 10 minutes for our drinks we went to the only other worker on shift and she simply told us to go get our food (information that would've been nice before waiting 10 minutes). We had already mentioned one of our companies gluten allergy, our waiter had said she was going to go write it down however "she forgot". Carvers were sparse and unwelcoming. Eventually once we had sat down with the food after having to wait for gravy, cauliflower cheese etc. Rhe food was cold, and to be frank unsatisfactory for the effort. We waited even longer for our drinks and then our waiter said "oops forgot". We had a lovely meal no thanks tk the staff. The real shock was rhe £75 bill since the worker charged us for 5 despite the fact we are a party of 4. Unsaitsfocatry is an understatement. Will nkt be returning”

“Disappointing visit today for the carvery, meat was good however the sides were a real let down on our visit today, peas and carrots were very dry, mash lacked any real taste. We had to wait for more roast potatoes to come out and I have to say we shouldnt have bothered, no beef dripping roast potatoes just regular and they were so dry im not sure how they made it out of the kitchen without someone questioning them. The parsnips were cooked perfectly but this was the only saving grace to a Disappointing meal. Staff were friendly and the score we have given is no reflection on the serving staff”

“If you like a large plate of beige food at a low price then great. I don't so it was grim. I arrived after 6 pm and the meat had ran out (the sausages were wretched).”

“Staff are always kind, friendly and polite. We come here for our regular friends catch ups. Lovely atmosphere. From the Apple Tango woman 😂 Sydnee and Dom were our servers today, nice banter and chat, which adds to the atmosphere”

“I recently had a carvery here with some of my friends on the way back home, the tables were clean and the service was brilliant. After we enjoyed our meal, I left my jumper behind and only realised after the 6 hour journey home. I called up the restaurant and James was extremely helpful. He posted my jumper to me the next day and it had arrived with no issues, James was really helpful and went above and beyond his duties of assistance in order to help customer satisfaction”
