Quick info
About Cherries Cafe
On Eleanor Cross Rd in Waltham Cross, Cherries Cafe is a coffee shop with a large menu that runs from breakfast through to fish and chips. The full English breakfast comes with chips, hash browns, mushrooms, sausage, bacon, egg and beans. Every breakfast also includes toast or bread and a tea or coffee, so the drink and the bread are covered in one order. Fish and chips is on the menu for a cooked meal later in the day, and milkshakes are available for anyone who prefers one to a hot drink. The cafe takes walk-ins, with no booking needed. The interior has been recently renovated.

Customer Review Summary
The criticism is sharper but less frequent. One diner found the full English not worth the cost, with a single sausage and egg and burnt, oddly cut toast. Another said the fish and chips tasted cheap and were full of bones, that food for a table of six came out staggered, and that the menu is too large. A first-time customer said the coffee tasted more like cocoa with milk and felt overcharged compared with friends. Even the unhappy full English diner noted that the request for butter on the side was honoured.

“Today I went here for the first time to buy a medium coffee with milk. I was surprised that there was no sugar in the sachets and the person who made me the coffee asked me how much sugar I wanted in my coffee. The coffee was very bad, it tasted more like cocoa with milk than coffee. I paid 3 pounds for the coffee, while my friends pay 2.50 pounds for the same coffee. I think the person who made me the coffee was the owner because he probably saw me for the first time and thought he could set the price as he wanted. I don't think I'm the only one who was scammed like this and I will never go to this place again. I don't recommend it.”

“Me and my nans favourite bistro. Staff are lovely and very accommodating. Service is quick and you get your food very fast. The food is always up to scratch and there side salad is always lovely. The cafe itself is very nice and clean with comfy seats and a nicely decorated surrounding. Would really recommend!”

“First time I came here with Mum and her friends. It used to be Dads favourite. They come here often. I can see why. The food was delicious, fresh and generous portions. The service was impeccable. They couldn’t have done more. The prices are reasonable for what you get. It has recently been renovated and is fresh and very comfortable. I love a good milkshake and their’s are great. Didn’t get a picture as was too busy enjoying the company and food.”
