Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers come for the all-you-can-eat banquet, describing hot, fresh, plentiful food and friendly staff, with several returning for birthdays and Christmas Eve. Prawn toast is the dish named most often, sweet and sour pork HK style gets a specific mention, and a vegetarian finds plenty of choice and dishes that come out quickly. The restaurant is small, though one group of 12 fitted in, and another reviewer feels servers can rush diners. The criticism is substantial. Lower reviews describe bland dishes, watered down sauces, a luke warm soup, a hot and sour soup compared to bovril with soy sauce, and a beef curry with a sauce as thin as dishwater. Crispy duck was called overcooked and hard, noodles went cold and were sent back for reheating, and a wrong dish arrived. One takeaway came late and rubbery, and it ignored a request for no vegetables in the fried noodles. Happier diners recall a birthday candle in ice cream and a gift for a daughter.

“Service slow, a wrong dish served, noodles arrived and went stone cold before main so had to go back to be reheated(yuk). Crispy duck was way over cooked and hard, prawn crackers were lemon flavoured. All just not great and the sort of stuff you expect from a cheapo 'all you can eat', but I was disgusted to hear serving staff saying "Gwai Lo" (White Devil) to refer to a dish a traditional Brit would maybe order. While some sources say it means 'ghost man', as a Brit married to a Cantonese speaker with some understanding myself of how the word is used insultingly (akin to the N word) I am done with the place.”

“As a vegetarian there is a lot of food for me here which is rare!! Very good food for a decent price and it all comes out quickly. I have ate here many times and I have never had to send a dish back :) my only fault is that the server staff can rush you sometimes or it feels like that. The restaurant is quite small so not the best for bigger groups but I have gone in with a group of 12 before and we all managed to fit.”

“Ordered food to come at 19.15 it is now 20.00 food arrived and it is all rubbery reheated taste they didn’t listen to my instructions as I put no vegetables in the fried noodles it came with beansprouts and onions so went straight in the bin as was for my children kids left crying and hungry never again”

“Service was ok, atmosphere zero. The Aircon would be welcome if it was hot outside but on this occasion it made the restaurant freezing. Everything we ordered was bland and we had a wide variety. Quality was ok but any accompanying sauces seemed watered down. It did seem freshly cooked but that was about it. The soup was luke warm. All the appetisers were underwhelming especially a lettuce leaf with just chopped onion on, it was supposed to be pork. The sweet and sour was just 3 chicken balls and a bit of sauce from a bottle. The Yung chow fried rice was ok and the prawn dish had 4 prawns. We won't return.. oh and 2 cokes were £8.00, the meal cost almost 60 for 2”

“Ordered a takeaway on NewYears eve 2025. Paid £83. Food absolutely disgusting. Hot & sour soup was like bovril with soy sauce a bit of ham in it. Worse Hot & sour soup I have ever experienced. Beef curry was like dishwater with beef and onions added, sauce so thin. Prawn toast was good and duck was okay but you can't really ruin that can you? Had to bin most of the food. An expensive experience never to be repeated.”
