About 108 Coffee

108 Coffee is a cafe in Truro at 109 Kenwyn St, with wood finishing throughout the interior and coffee bean sacks used at the counter. A hatch to the outside handles quick orders to go, while the room itself is set up for sitting in. The coffee list runs from cappuccinos and lattes to flat whites and white americanos, with oat milk available. Guests can choose between a guest bean and a house bean, and matcha is on the menu for those who prefer it. Banana bread is served toasted, and the food side includes breakfast dishes alongside gluten free and vegan options. Dogs are welcome, so owners can bring them along. The kitchen also bakes its own cakes and pastries and builds its brunch menu around locally sourced ingredients.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often return to the coffee, naming the oat flat white, latte, cappuccino, white americano and matcha, and one pair tried both the guest bean and the house bean. Baked goods come close behind, with the toasted banana bread described as soft and not too sweet, plus a blueberry muffin and a breakfast one reviewer found fresh and tasty. Staff and owners are repeatedly called friendly and smiling, and one reviewer notes the owners are knowledgeable about coffee. Several mention gluten free and vegan options, fair pricing, and a preference for spending money here over big chains. The space is described as lovely and airy, with wood finishing and coffee bean sacks at the counter, and plenty of seating. No recurring complaints appear. One reviewer singles out the large tall cup of water in place of a tiny bowl, and another points to the hatch for quick takeaways.

“Wow, a really lovely cafe!! When i went the staff were super friendly and helpful. They greet you with big smiles. The cafe is lovely and airy, so if you sit in you don't feel like you're too close to others around you. The coffee is absolutely amazing, it's so so good, would recommend. You can take away or sit in and is open from 8am so great if you need a coffee or a bite to eat before work. Thankyou for the great service and lovely experience. I always look forward to going back to Coffee 108. Also lovely located cafe too.”

“I never leave Google reviews, but I had to this time! The price is so fair, the coffee is excellent, and this is the ONLY coffee shop that understands that if a customer wants some water, they want a large tall cup and not some tiny bowl! If I lived here I would be a frequent and loyal customer. Thank you for this unique experience. 😊”
  • Chloe Doo
“Popped in early on Saturday morning and ordered an oat flat white and their blueberry muffin. So good! The service was great and everything was delicious.”
