  “The cod batter is not crispy and the fish is very dry, the chips are under cooked. This was the 3rd time here and we shall not be going back. They used to cook the food as you ordered it, but now its just sitting there already. Very disappointed.”

  “On the high street. No dedicated parking. This takeaway offers quite an extensive menu at reasonable prices. Portions are generous. Venue was very clean when we visited. Staff very efficient. Only slight bug bear was my chicken kebab, the presentation was just very messy...Provide less salad/onions and put these in before meat so the kebab can be eaten like a sandwich. Chips were really nice here.”

  “Decent food, strange name which I’m sure is steeped in history. Everything I’ve had here is tasty and mostly cooked fresh while you wait - which isn’t long, even when busy. Try the sauce they put on the kebabs, it’s delicious.”

  “The best food ever! The fish is so fresh, crisp & tasty. The service is brilliant! I use a wheelchair & cannot get inside but as soon as I'm seen they bring their happy service out to me!”

  “Great food as always. Crispy chips and batter, well cooked fish and good portions. Have visited a few times and doesn't dissapoint. Really need to get a card machine though as its a hassle for people that think they can't pay until you show them your mini card machine. Will be visiting again soon!”

  “Bought takeaway cod and chips x3 . We took it home to eat( 10 mins away) and it was still very hot when we started eating it. The chips were lovely and crispy not soggy and the fish was very tasty. Someone else paid so I don't know the price if it but even so I would definitely recommend this and would visit again.”
