Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the curry and the chow mein, with the special chow mein, chicken fried rice, bbq ribs and salt and pepper squid all named as highlights. Several describe the food as hot, fresh and tasty, collected quickly after phoning an order in, and many single out friendly, polite staff. A few mention complimentary prawn crackers, fortune cookies and spring rolls, and one reviewer calls the portions enough for three people. Opinions are not uniform. One reviewer found the food grey, the curry tasting only of pepper and the mixed starters overcooked, while another thought the hot and sour soup very average and the ginger and spring onion lacking depth of flavour. One reviewer who walked over a mile was told card payments were not taken, then received ribs that were half a container of onions with small scraps of meat. Another objected to four cans of coke costing £6.40 and said they would buy drinks at Morrisons first, though they still planned to return for the food.

“Quite possibly the best Chinese take away ever! Amazing curry!! Everything tasted fantastic, the service was exceptional, the place is spotlessly clean and well presented… Sadly spoilt by the eye watering rip off price for 4 cans of coke @ £6.40!! These items cost £0.30 from Morrisons! £1.60 for a £0.30 item is excessive, rude, and contemptuous! I’ll definitely be back for the food BUT I’ll visit Morrisons for the drinks first!!”

“Attended to by a lovely young woman who was very polite, enjoyed a amazing, decent price meal. I’d just let the owners know their LED string lights make it hard to decipher amongst first glance that it’s a Chinese restaurant as I walked past it twice 🤣 But fantastic place to eat, thank you!”

“First time using this place as we passed through thirsk overnight in the campervan, can't fault the food or service. Special chow mein, chicken fried rice and bbq ribs enough for three people and every item of food piping hot on collection and delicious reccomended”
