  “What an amazing little place - friendly staff, great tea & coffee with wonderful food (and cakes). The cafe is dog friendly (the staff brought over a water bowl and some dog biscuits). The service is really efficient and the kitchen produces plates of excellent food at a treasonable price.”

  “Seems like a really lovely cafe, an inviting, cosily decorated space and one of the servers at the till was really warm and helpful. Asked a different server about vegan options and was told there was only the Buddha bowl as breakfast had finished. I appreciate the kitchen needs to stick to stopping serving breakfast for its running, but I was told there were no other vegan options available than the Buddha bowl/salad and nothing else was offered. The server did leave to ask the chef about vegan cakes which was appreciated. Ended up going for a vegan flapjack that was extremely sweet and on the small size as someone that bakes them at her own workplace, and not labelled as vegan at the front. The other non-vegan members of our party said their open sandwiches were lovely but that the soup was bland. One member had got the avocado toast (which I think is from the breakfast menu??), that they said was very good, and which perhaps could have been a vegan option. But this was not mentioned during ordering even when I asked if there was nothing else possible than the Buddha bowl. Seemed to be some lovely parts to the cafe and its staff, but would appreciate warmer service to vegans. Don't want to be a pain, hospitality and kitchen work is very difficult, I work in it, but didn't feel like much effort was made to provide decent vegan lunch options. I'm sure the salad is very nice but doesn't feel fair as the only lunch option when there are plenty of other vegan ingredients used in the breakfast.”

  “Always a mistake to revisit. Truly horrible tea, tasted of soap. Their coffee used to be good. Cheese sandwich ok, open salmon sandwich pretty good. Gloomy atmosphere in spite of repaint. Waitress truly nasty, sulky and sneery taking order, didn't really know how to use card machine. The stunner - obviously told to ask how the food was but when told tea was really not good said she didn't give a what I thought since she was only on a short term contract and she didn't care”

  “Can't understand how this cafe has good reviews. One of the worse lunches I've ever had. To be fair, the decor is nice and the raspberry scone I had was decent. But I ordered the buddha bowl, which was not cheap at £9.70, and was the smallest, most miserable bowl of food, that couldn't pass as a lunch. Barely a few leaves and small dollops of avocado and hummus, with a few other tiny amounts of things. It would barely pass as a starter, and had no flavour or dressing. I resented paying for it. Don't see how they can't be embarrassed at serving it. The service was quick and efficient but not friendly - I'd go so far as to say a bit surly. Will not be going back and cannot recommend.”
