“It is a good fish and chip shop. Always fresh. Sometimes I wish that the batter on the fish was a bit thinner as it can take over the delicate fish but overall its good and the chips are fat and lovely. I always have some for breakfast the next day as the portions are excellent.”

“I have eaten from there in the past and the food has been fabulous. Sadly I had a very different experience last night. I had (supposedly) large cod and chips, and it was sadly the worst piece of cod I have had in ages. The batter was overcooked and almost rock hard underneath, the amount of cod was minimal and thin and much of the top part of the batter had dried out and was inedible. The fish itself looked like a normal size too. I actually felt robbed of my £14 and will probably not return again.”

“Not great, although no exactly bad either. Chips tasted slightly strange, not sure if it was the potatoes or the oil it was cooked in, either way it wasn't very pleasant. The batter on the sausage was soggy, which i am sure some people prefer but not myself. Can't knock the prices and portions though. It was a gargantuan amount of chips for what was supposed to be a 'small" portion.”

“I go to Croxton Fish Bar quite a lot and it’s always consistently excellent. The food is freshly cooked, the portions are generous, and the quality is always spot on. The fish is crispy and tasty, the chips are cooked perfectly, and everything is always served hot. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the service is quick even when they’re busy. It’s clear they take pride in what they do, which is why I keep going back. Definitely one of the best fish and chip shops in Thetford and highly recommended if you want great food and reliable service every time. I recommend the chip shop curry they do”
