  “We had visited this place a few times previous, all times with a good service. Our latest visit with 4 other people has put us off completely. The lady that lead us to our table was quite rude, no smiles, just a look of "wish i wasn't here". Food portions have become smaller and prices have resin. Food on two of our friends were cold. By the time we had returned home, we all had dicky tummies. Terrible experience.”

  “The menu looks like it will be a winner but when the food arrives it’s like ordering a diamond ring for your wife of Temu! 50/50 chance will be decent. Food was ok nothing to write home about, standard chain pub food. Place is very tired and needs a good refresh but could be helped with general daily cleaning. Staff seem lazy the guy behind the bar has a massive attitude problem and should really consider his job in hospitality. No atmosphere at all music through the speakers was a crackling white noise sound. The place needs a change in management or some serious work with the team in all aspects. On the plus side a couple of great team members who actually make you feel welcome, only been here a short time you can tell. Massive issue for me is all the team wearing aprons which are covered in food and sauces except for one of the waitress who was very pleasant and had a clean apron on. Standards are missing from this place. I worked for a big pub chain as a manager and a holding BDM for 10 plus years and I would be ashamed if I was the manager or BDM of this place! Only ate here due to it being next to our hotel. Whitbreads I would expect better with the location of this pub especially meeting so many of your customers who were stopping the night before their week to CP Could be a a fantastic pub but needs some serious work. Need a hand sorting it out give me a call!”

  “Really good value and a great experience overall. Kiera and Caitlin were friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was tasty with lots of choice on the menu, and there’s a big car park with free parking for restaurant guests. Would happily come back.”

  “Service was great. The menu read really well and we came away with the feeling it promised so much but failed to deliver. The skin on fries were ok. No one really liked their starters or mains apart from the prawn cocktail. The galling thing was four little crispy prawns for £7+ as a starter, which is clearly out of a frozen bag and tiny spring rolls with no flavour. The crispy ravioli filling was bland but the relish was nice. Also the zingy chilli mayo was good. Two of us were excited by the fish pie fish cake. It was just a chunky fish cake accompanied both poached eggs 'very well boiled'. The price for what you pay is not warranted in my opinion for generic chain pub food. Again, the service staff were fab. That's it.”

  “All staff (Conor, Alex, Rob, Courtney and Eva) were friendly, attentive and polite. Had a great meal out with my nana. Brownie was tasty, mentioned about having 3 spoons and they increased the brownie portion for us to share more! Would recommend to anyone 👍👍👍👍👍”
