Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the curries, with several calling the cooking Bangladeshi in style and full of flavour. The chicken and mushroom balti, the Bhoona, chicken tikka, garlic naan, light rice and the mint sauce all get specific mentions, along with generous portions and friendly staff, including a local waitress and the owner. A few say the dated decor does not take anything away from the food. The chicken tikka masala is the recurring weak spot. One reviewer describes a bright red, watery, coconut-based sauce with no discernible spice, a very long takeaway wait and a paid-for pickle tray missing from the bag, while another says it isn't recommended. One diner also found the food a bit salty. Several mention bringing their own alcohol, which one says makes for a cheaper bill. One group asked the chef to cook their dishes Bangladeshi style and enjoyed every one.

“Lovely meal. Great friendly staff. Bring your own alcohol makes for a cheaper bill too.”

“Ordered chicken tikka masala. It had never been a chicken tikka masala. Bright red watery tomato consistency, made with a coconut base, never seen any spices. Chicken was rubbish, took an hour and a half to be ready, no pickle tray in our bag despite ordering and paying for. Definitely will not return, sorry.”

“Ordered for take away. Decent prices and portions. Food was delicious. Would recommend.”

“Super friendly staff. The food was a mixed bag. The Bhoona was good, but the Chicken Tikka Masala isn't recommended. Keep in mind that you have to pay in cash. If you want to drink alcohol you can bring it on your own.”

“Don’t be fooled by the exterior or the decor ! We had the mixed meat starter , chicken and mushroom balti , chicken tikka , garlic nan bread and rice . Frankly was one of the best Indians I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of Indian meals ! Absolutely amazing 11/10”
