About Fiesta de Cuba (Swindon)
Fiesta de Cuba is a Cuban restaurant on Unit 20 in Swindon, set up as a sit-down venue with both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu spans Cuban and Mexican-leaning plates, covering tapas, soft tacos, burritos, fajitas, burgers, and a squid and chorizo dish, with a separate kids' menu for younger diners. Many visitors treat it as a pre or post cinema stop, and the room fills accordingly at peak times, though service runs quieter outside those hours. Music plays inside, and the counter staff serve walk-in guests through the week, with bookings taken for larger tables. The format blends tapas-style sharing with fuller mains, so a couple can graze across small plates or order a single hero dish each, and the outdoor tables catch the calmer evenings.

Customer Review Summary
Tapas before or after the cinema is the most common reason diners return, with reviewers singling out the squid and chorizo and a tapas-for-two outing. Mains follow close behind, including soft tacos, a burrito, burgers and fajitas, described as delicious and fresh. Several mention friendly, polite staff, and one praises the lovely interior and nice music, though another wishes the music felt closer to Cuban. One reviewer compares it to a chain restaurant with a slightly corporate feel, but calls the food nice enough. A family enjoyed the dishes and the choices for kids. The complaints are specific. One reviewer was curtly refused service at the door with no explanation and no takeaway offered, and advises booking beforehand. Another found the restaurant busy with few staff, and the drinks arrived well after the food.

“I advise reservation & booking beforehand. I was looking for food and was curtly refused service at the door unfortunately. No explanation of circumstances, no takeaway options offered. This was a jarring change of plans and I left very hungry and sad :( I must say there was plenty space inside and outside, and I wasn’t planning on staying long anyway, and would’ve considered a takeaway if offered. Sad.”

“Went here for pre-cinema. Service from staff was prompt and polite. Ordered the three tapas as starter and mains with soft tacos and the burrito for my partner. Squid and chorizo was amazing, our mains were delicious and super fresh. Compliments to the chef! Ambience was lovely with nice music and lovely interior. Definitely one of our new favourite restaurants in Swindon! Really delighted to have come here: will be our favourite go to restaurant now before cinema, or just when we need a nice meal out!”

“Took forever too get drinks. Food came first. Restaurant was really busy with a few staff. Keep the drinks coming and people stay . Very disappointed 😔”

“This restaurant was fantastic from the moment we walked in. We were warmly welcomed by the manager, Jaime, who immediately made us feel at home. Our waitress, Elsie, was brilliant throughout the evening—friendly, attentive, and always checking that everything was okay and that we were happy with our food. The food itself was absolutely delicious and we couldn’t have asked for better. A huge shoutout to the young chefs, Harrison and Corey, who did an amazing job. Overall, we had an excellent experience. Every member of staff was welcoming and friendly, and although I’ve probably missed a few names, everyone helped make the evening memorable. A special mention also goes to Jake, who popped out from the kitchen a few times and brought a great atmosphere to the night. We’ll definitely be coming back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️”
