Customer Review Summary

Pizza draws the most mentions, with reviewers praising generous toppings and a gluten-free base that one says tastes no different from a wheat one, and even better. The seafood risotto comes close behind, singled out for its flavour and perfectly cooked mussels. A group of five also enjoyed lasagne, pasta and garlic bread with extra cheese, and another diner liked the sautéed mushrooms. Portions are described as generous and well sized for the price. Service is repeatedly called friendly, polite and attentive. One party of more than 30 says food and drinks came out quickly and latecomers were seated without fuss. A couple of reviewers mention a cozy, rustic setting, and one notes that a busy Monday night did not affect the quality. Reviewers also describe staff going further when needed. A gluten-free pizza that had come through as a regular order was cooked fresh by the chef straight away, and a birthday table was sung to and given a complimentary pudding.

“We’ve visited this restaurant many times and have always loved the food and our experience. On Sunday, we went for dinner with another couple, our nine-month-old baby and their one-and-a-half-year-old child. This was our first visit with our baby. Both children ate there, and on Monday both became very unwell with severe vomiting and diarrhoea. We can’t confirm what caused it, but having both children fall ill after the visit was very concerning. We’re worried about whether the high chairs were properly cleaned and would appreciate the restaurant looking into this and reviewing its cleaning procedures. We’ve always enjoyed coming here, so this experience has been upsetting.”

“We had such a fantastic meal here. Everything was cooked perfectly and served in a really welcoming setting. The seafood risotto was an absolute highlight, packed with flavour and perfectly cooked mussels. We also really enjoyed the pizza, which was generous with toppings. The side of sautéed mushrooms was fresh and savoury. It is rare to find a place that hits the mark on every dish. We had a lovely evening and will definitely be coming back soon.”
