Quick info
About The Slamwich Club
The Slamwich Club is a sandwich shop at No.63 in Stoke On Trent, built around the Slamwich, a stacked grilled sandwich that anchors the menu alongside toasties. The Caesar Slamwich and the Spice Up Ya Life are two of the options, and potato tots come as a side. Vegan choices include a breakfast sandwich on an oatcake and vegan milkshakes, so plant-based eaters have more than one dish to pick from. A fully licensed bar runs alongside the kitchen, and the Backyard hosts regular music events. Dogs are welcome. For pre-theatre meals, a theatre package is available that needs a deposit and a pre-order.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the slamwiches themselves, naming the Spice Up Ya Life and the Caesar Slamwich as flavourful, filling and generous, with a vegan breakfast sandwich built around an oatcake also praised. Close behind are the potato tots and frickles, with several calling the tots soft and fluffy or the star of the show. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free adaptations come up repeatedly, including a waitress who offered a salad version, and a few mention halal chicken. Several reviewers add that the toilets stock pads, tampons and deodorant. The recurring complaint is value and service: some find the toasties pricey for what they are, one calls a cheesecake tiny and melted beside the hot food, and another describes confusion over whether to sit or queue, then reluctance to swap a wrong drink. One notes the service was slightly slow when busy. Several suggest booking ahead, and the theatre package asked for a deposit and a pre-order, with a box offered for the leftover half of a large portion.

“Visited the Slamwich club as a group of 4 vegans as had seen someone I follow on Instagram visiting a while ago and have been meaning to check it out since then. We did not make a booking for a Saturday morning, although I would recommend doing so as it was very busy. There were vegan milkshakes & coffee at a good price, frickles, and for the main we all tried the vegan breakfast sandwich from the brunch menu which was a sandwich with an oatcake inside. This was amazing and good serving size. The toilets were clean and the whole place was well decorated. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Hanley.”

“This was hands down one of the best salads I’ve ever had. Crunchy fresh ingredients, the chicken was definitely battered and fried in house and tasted great with the hot honey sauce. The service was slightly slow but they were incredibly busy. Overall a very good plate of food albeit a little on the pricy side!”

“I hadn’t even imagined that I’d be writing a review about the 🚽 facilities at an eatery. There’s always a first time for everything! So to the topic at hand. I can say with certainty this place has thought of all hygiene concerns from pads to tampons and deodorants to wipes. Unbelievably impressed that so much consideration is shown by a small business when giants are cutting costs!!! Bravo TSC BRAVO 🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼”

“Been trying to eat here for ages, it looks so cool, but it's always too busy and I made a mental note to book when we are going the theatre. Finally got to eat here tonight and it didn't disappoint! Theatre package needed a deposit and a pre order. We ordered 2 toasties, fries, tater tots and frickles. We also had 2 banana milkshakes with some booze in, mine was vegan because dairy makes my bum cry. Wonderful service, cool atmosphere, amazing food. Plenty of vegan options. Always book ahead my dudes, be prepared. It's worth it”
