About Gladstone Barber & Bistro

Gladstone Barber & Bistro is a small plates restaurant on Unit 3 in Stalybridge, combining a barbershop with a brunch and coffee space under one roof. The evening menu moves through lamb shawarma, carrots with feta, a trio of dips, and potato pavé, with portions large enough to share across the table. A live singer and pianist perform alongside the food, and the team takes care of the room as servers throughout the service. Coffee anchors the daytime offer, and the brunch menu runs alongside it. Booking is advised for weekends, while weekdays tend to take walk-ins at the counter.

Customer Review Summary

Across the reviews, the standout draw is the trio of dips, named by multiple diners alongside other favourites like lamb shawarma, carrots with feta, and potato pavé. The friendly front-of-house team and live music shape much of the experience, while one diner notes the acoustics get loud when full. Several suggest booking ahead for weekends, and Sunday lunch draws repeat praise.

“UPDATE: Just been for dinner for the first time this evening with friends. I think the evening menu actually exceeds the brunch stuff in terms of delivering superb quality produce in a creative way with flair. Lamb shawarma - melt in the mouth. I love veggie stuff and here - the carrots with feta, dips and potato pavé - outstanding. The array of dips are just delicious. Gotta say as usual, the service is the cream on top - the right side of warm and friendly perfecting the vibe the owners have created. Hannah, Lucia and Grace wlmakeba fab team. Bonus points for halal dishes! My only minor quibble is the acoustics - the music and when it's full can overpower conversations. ----------------------- Previous review A divine spot for brunch! Second time visit after going to the local parkrun. Brought 5 mates and they all loved their choices. The coffee is amazing but the service is what seals the deal here. The menu is different and not just the bog standard items, all done well and presented beautifully. Book ahead in weekends.”

“A place thats been on our list for a while and absolutely did not disappoint. Food was exceptional! Lucia, hannah and grace s who looked after us were fantastic. Some of the best food we’ve eaten in a while and definitely will be returning. Warning- portions are big enough to share but too good to leave left overs.”
