About Turners Fish Restaurant

Turners Fish Restaurant is a fish and chips takeaway at 20 Red Lion St in Spalding, run as a traditional fish and chip shop. Alongside the takeaway counter, a sit-down restaurant area lets customers eat in rather than carry their order out. The menu centres on cod and chips and haddock and chips, with a fish cake and chips option served with mushy peas. Mushy peas and curry sauce are also available as sides, so an order can be built around the classic plate or adjusted with extras. The shop is also categorised as a fast food restaurant.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers come mainly for the cod and chips, with one calling it some of the best they've eaten and another praising the new potato chips and tasty batter. Fish cake, mushy peas and desserts also get mentions, and service is described as friendly and traditional. The complaints are specific: one diner found the cod watery, and another received a tiny piece of fish that looked like sardine instead of haddock.

  • kemelo12
“We went yesterday I had large cod and chips with mushy peas and curry sauce, my wife had fish cake and chips with mushy peas, I had a coffee my wife had a small Pepsi max come to £29, food was nice, chips were great, the cod was watery, mush peas were nice. My wife said chips were nice and the fish cake was ok. Reasonably priced to sit in a restaurant to eat. If I was in the area I’d probably try a different chippy.”
