About The Chequers of Weston
On High Rd in Spalding, The Chequers of Weston is a pub with a large beer garden, where the seating has curtains and an undercover area sits alongside. The kitchen cooks homemade food, including beef brisket with mash on the autumn menu. The three-course roast lunch offers beef and turkey, with a vegetarian mushroom bourguignon for those who skip the meat. At the bar, real ales including Abbot sit alongside wines, spirits and cocktails. Two private hire areas hold groups of 30 or more, and the pub hosts weddings, funeral wakes and other celebrations. Reservations are required, and the roast lunch is booked in advance. Dogs are welcome.

“This was our 4th visit in the last 9 months and definitely won’t be our last Yet again great atmosphere, lovely accommodating staff and delicious food. The new autumn menu is very hearty and the beef brisket with cheesy mash and cabbage was to die for. Well done to the chequers team we are looking forward to our next visit soon”

“My wife & I came here (for the first time) on a Sunday lunchtime for an anniversary meal. It was an almost last minute booking and didn't really want to book on a Sunday because lunches are always busy everywhere. However the Chequers website clearly stated in at least two places that it doesn't open on a Monday, so instead we accepted a late lunch book for Sunday, no problem. Only later did I discover on another web page that in fact they *were* open on the bank holiday Monday, so we missed their Greek special. A lesson for the Chequers team there, I think. Other than the above, everything else was excellent. A team of young people out front did an excellent waiting service. Their timing was good, they were welcoming, articulate and polite. We had a couple of pints of fine Abbot ale and a soda water. We both had a roast meal, a beef and a turkey. Serving size was reasonable, roast potatoes were fine and veg was good quality. Both meats were succulent, tasty and generously portioned. There was not a single piece of fat anywhere in the meat, 100% juicy tasty meat. We agreed this was the best Sunday roast we'd had in a long time... delicious! We followed it up with some good quality ice cream. Overall, we had a very good experience here, especially considering we arrived at the tail end of a busy Sunday lunchtime. We absolutely*loved* our meals (our compliments to the chef) and will definitely be coming back. Based on our first experience here we highly recommend. Thank you :0)”

“Tally was amazing, so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely come again. The food was amazing, belly pork and goats cheese for starter, chicken and blue cheese crunch, brisket and mash for main. Awaiting the pudding as recommended by Tally, update you shortly”

“Lovely pub with great beer garden, loved the idea of the seating with added curtains made it all seem a lot more private . Service was excellent and the duck spring rolls on the nibbles choice were just amazing just like eating 100% shredded duck and not loads of nasty crispy roll stuff , the beer was nice too ! Highly recommend!”
