About Kams Palace
Kams Palace is a Chinese restaurant in Southampton, housed in a 2-storey, pagoda-style building at 1 Bridge Rd. The menu follows a traditional approach to Chinese cuisine, with dim sum and Hong Kong-style dishes at its centre. Among the dishes on offer are roast duck and meat fried noodle, which sit alongside the dim sum. The decor inside is traditional Chinese in style, continuing the look of the pagoda exterior. Jasmine tea is served at the end of the meal.

Customer Review Summary
Dim sum is the most frequent draw at Kams Palace, with reviewers calling it authentic and one diner from Hong Kong naming it the most authentic they have had in the UK. Another says you simply cannot go wrong with any dim sum item. Close behind are the roast duck, praised for its aromatic, crispy skin and meaty texture, and the meat fried noodle, which one diner says tasted like home. Portions are described as generous, with one party taking leftovers home, and several mention good value and friendly service. A traditional, authentic Chinese feel comes up in the praise for the room. The one sharply negative review describes a very different meal: burned, overcooked scallops, Mongolian beef that arrived like curry beef, and a Kung Pao dish with peanuts delivered in place of the order. That reviewer also says the bill included about 70 pounds of food the table never ordered, plus an automatic service charge. Happier diners instead close on a simple moment: Jasmine tea after starters, mains and dessert.

“Been wanting to try Kam’s Palace for ages. My wife and I went there for our anniversary. So glad we did. The online booking system was easy to use and efficient. The food was REALLY good. Proper traditional Chinese cuisine beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. We had starters mains and desert plus a couple of drinks and of course Jasmine tea at the end. It came to less than £70 which is great value. Will definitely go back.”

“Absolutely fantastic restaurant! The food is consistently delicious, full of flavour and beautifully prepared. The staff are always incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive, making the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere, with a traditional, authentic Chinese feel that really adds to the experience. It’s a great place to enjoy a meal, with excellent food, brilliant service and a really welcoming environment. Would highly recommend Kams Palace to anyone looking for a fantastic Chinese restaurant. Definitely one of the best around!”

“Well if you want to loose weight by going to toilet 3x afterwards, then go for it. First Won ton soup OK, 2 scallops for £10.80 burned and overcooked, Mongolian beef turned into Curry Beef. Waiter who brought the food to table gave me Kung Pao instead with peanuts.(what if I was allergic? )Tough waiter didn't speak a word English. No salt & pepper on table. Menu inside dirty from probably spilled drink or sauce. At the end I asked for the bill which came to £245.00 for 4 of us, but 1 person had no main course. They put automatically 10% on bill for service, but we found out that they overcharged us by £70 for food we didn't order. They waiter on defense said it wasn't me it was the other one. Never coming back, glad I didn't see the hygiene in the kitchen as by the food quality I'd probably do a runner. Tescos frozen £2 meals taste better and you can have it at comfort of your home.”

“As a student from hk, I can confirm this is the most authentic dim sum restaurant I have ever had in the UK (I have been here multiple times but only got 1 pic unfortunately).”
