About Robin Hood and Little John Pub
Set on a main road in Sleaford, the Robin Hood and Little John Pub is a country pub that runs on a simple rhythm: drinks are ordered at the bar, then guests are shown to a table and handed menus, with a specials board brought over. The kitchen works through a menu of around 27 dishes, opening with plates such as Smooth Chicken Liver Pate, Creamy Garlic Mushrooms and Crispy Whitebait, while sea bass and steak and ale pie come up as regular orders. Desserts run to cheesecakes in flavours including cappuccino and raspberry ripple. Groups are catered for through a private dining room, where a large table is set up for parties of roughly 8 to 12; group bookings take a deposit and a non-arrival charge may be applied, so the arrangement holds the space firmly for the party that reserved it. Dogs are welcome, and the pub opens daily. Tables inside are spaced with room between them.

Customer Review Summary
The kitchen draws the most consistent praise, with the steak and ale pie singled out repeatedly, one walker calling it probably the best they had eaten, full of meat and gravy. Close behind is the sea bass, described by two diners as cooked to perfection and part of one of the best meals they had. Also mentioned are the creamy garlic mushrooms, ordered twice by one regular for their quality and quantity, hunters chicken with crispy chips, succulent belly pork, and cappuccino and raspberry ripple cheesecakes with generous portions. Several note hot plates, food arriving without delay, and friendly, welcoming staff. The clearest complaint comes from a party of eight billed a non arrival charge tucked into the middle of the receipt despite days of notice and with no conversation about it, and that reviewer advises large groups to be wary. Another describes the garden as lovely with lights but chilly in the evening, suggesting a summer day instead.

“We have never had anything other than excellent food at the RHLJ, yesterdays was superb, I had the belly pork, so succulent; fabulous. The plates are always really hot, the best sign of a good restaurant. The four of us ordered different dishes, all were beautifully presented. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is good, it's a lovely rural pub, very welcoming.”

“Whilst we enjoyed the food and the service supplied by our waitresses we were extremely disappointed as a party of 8 to be charged 'non arrival' for some of our party with very genuine reasons for not coming and one of whom had given 5 days notice - shocking. The £120 deposit taken we had assumed would be deducted from our bill - it was redeemed against the final total but a £40 non arrival charge was tucked into the middle of the till receipt - no polite chat/ were you aware/ as one member gave 5 days notice we'll not deduct etc - no customer service in that department - it has tainted the venue and we will not be returning - i would advise big groups to be very wary”
