Customer Review Summary
Chow mein draws the most praise, with one diner singling out the duck chow mein alongside the satay sauce and kung po chicken, and another calling the chow mein and rice good. Reviewers also credit the chicken fried rice and chicken fu yeung, describe large portions and reasonable prices, and say the man on the counter was spot on when an order was changed or added to. A family of ten at a nephew's birthday said everything tasted delicious. Consistency is the sticking point. Long-standing customers report a bland mixed curry with tasteless chicken and green peppers in black bean sauce, crispy chilli beef that tasted only of strong vinegar, hard chicken balls, very dry chips and runny sweet and sour. One reviewer describes roast chicken arriving grey in a sauce like axle grease. Several complaints centre on the response: a call about the curry turned into an argument, and a customer who was promised a free dish for missing items was refused it on the next order by a rude owner.

“We ordered here for my nephews birthday (it was a very large order as there were lots of us. We got to try a real mix of dishes because it was such a big order and everything tasted delicious. My favourite was the duck chow mein, the satay sauce and the kung po chicken. It really was all very delicious though - the whole family (10 of us in total) loved it.”

“We ordered £52 worth of food , the chow mein was good and rice was good too but the crispy chilli beef ( 2portions ordered) only tasted of strong vinegar. It was so over powering that it was not edible . Totally ruined the whole dinner which should have been a mid week birthday treat. When I rang them to tell them they initially said they don’t put vinegar in it and when I insisted that they Must do due to the strong taste then they said they do put it in . Very disappointed.”

“Great night and good and staff were great.. One minor issue. We had to spilt a receipt multiple ways but it wasn't clear who had what since all in attached pieces of paper not in English and menus with prices taken away as per norm after ordering . Itemised bill would have helped and I'm sure we could have requested it”

“Wow!! From out of town with the family but really wanted a Chinese, found this one as nice and local. Went and ordered £130 later 🤣 Food was amazing, large portions so no complaints from us. Chap on the counter was spot on and no issues when wanted to change or add anything. Left a menu in the house we stayed in for the next people to see. Highly recommend!!”
