  “We left swiftly after being ignored then spoken to very rudely by staff for heading to the pool bar to see if tables were available. The employee shouted I told you they are full come back here ! True north really has ruined every good venue in Sheffield . Each location used to be well managed and took good care of its clients. Now it’s just poor quality food and you can tell the kitchen has changed in the last few years for the worst. What a shame. Ruined the Old house, Forum, The Riverside and now common room. Boooooo”

  “Excellent staff and service. 5 stars there. Good selection of sport on tv. Food was alright albeit chicken burger was a little bland and greasy.”

  “We ordered a round of beers and after paying, it turned out that one was unavailable. We were met with indifference, and were served after choosing a different beer - we believe this is standard practice. 10 minutes later, my wife was approached at our table by 2 members of staff demanding she accept a refund for the beer that was unavailable and pay for the beer that was then served (the difference in price was 65 pence). After a discussion, she agreed to this in order to settle the dispute, however the refund was issued to the wrong card. She then spoke to the manager in order to receive the refund, and the bar staff who originally served her were laughing at her from behind the bar for trying to be refunded for the £5.65 pint she had paid for but not received. Is this all a bit dramatic over 65p? Perhaps. But we feel that this provided an opportunity for the bar staff to build on what was already a really strong rapport rather than come across as a hollow, corporate shell that seeks to eeke every last penny out of their consumers. We felt valued as customers. Now, we feel used. All in all, we have been coming to this bar for over 5 years to watch sports and are classed as regulars by the bouncers and the bar staff that know us. We believe this experience is a symptom of the large change the bar has experienced over recent years, and we will not be returning any time soon.”

  “Quite expensive for £11 for an hour of pool but good activity before dinner. Was quiet when we went at 4:30pm but nice that they have music to create some atmosphere. Slightly tight when playing with other games of pool going on next to you.”

  “Visited on a weeknight, plenty of seating, friendly atmosphere and bar staff, enjoyed loaded nachos, which was a generous portion, it came hot and was very tasty and a burger with soft drinks, ordered via the QR code on the table, food came quickly. There are screens everywhere that had sports showing, so if you're easily distracted this one's not for you! The venue is accessible by a flight of stairs but the is a wheelchair lift.”

  “Great set up. Has an area for drinks, games areas for beer pong, ping pong, pool etc... There's TVs everywhere (more than in currys PC World) - you won't miss any sporting action. They even had them in the toilet. We sat in the dining bit for food. I was feeling hungry so I ordered the Heavyweight Platter (pictured). It would be a big meal if the recommended 2 people had it... I went solo and wasn't far off. It came with a warning from the waitress about its size but I chose not to listen like a fool. All was delicious. Service started great but tailed off for us (no second drink offered or plates cleared a good 20+ mins when we were done). Still well worth the 4 stars awarded.”
