  “Had a coffee. Overpriced, hot milk, i asked for coffee in it. The man threw half of my drink away and filled it with coffee. He was offish and not happy. I've gone in there many times over 30 years. Won't see me in there again!”

  “Walked in to the cafe and was refused entry as i had an assistant dog with me. There attitude was not nice towards me, they were on there phones while waiting for customers to come in and then they never washed there hands before serving someone, it was not clean and i won't be returning again.”

  “Staff very rude, unhygienic (on phones and dont wash hands after, also touch peoples food with there bare hands while plating it out) very discriminating towards disabled people especially those who need a assistant dog (as i do) they won't allow them in the cafe including guide dogs as I was refused entry with my assistant dog with a visible dog lead stating ASSISTANT on it in bright blue writing and by law your not allowed to refuse access of a assistant dog as theres a equality act. If I could give this place a 0 star rating I certainly would but unfortunately there's no option of this, avoid at all costs!”

  “I eat here once or twice a week. The food is fresh home cooked & it's always lovely. You won't believe the price of the food because they don't over charge you & the staff are all friendly & polite. I give it 10/10 for quality & value 👌”

  “Can’t complain. I was hungry and looking for a cafe before boarding the train to York. Atmosphere is great here, nice and chill. The little dude ( most likely the owners grandson ) is a proper little gentleman! Very well mannered & does a fantastic job! My food was spot on, thank you.”

  “Under-appreciated. Breakfasts are big and fresh and coffee is very good. Steak pie was better than other higher rated pubs and restaurants. Many options in menu for all appetites.”

  “Called in for a snack as visiting the area, this cafe has a homely look about it, a number of people seemed like regulars. Breakfast was a wait but as I found out only one person cooks but it was worth the wait cooked as expected, my wife ham salad sandwich was totally enjoyable. Would I return definitely yes”

  “Ended up here by accident but glad we did! Weatherspoons had ran out of eggs and hash browns so went in search of another place for a breakfast and glad we came across here! The small breakfast was beautiful! Plenty of toast too. Coffee was lovely too. Will definitely skip the spoons now for breakfast and come here.”
